CAC is a full service small animal veterinary clinic and boarding facility offering professional, compassionate care to dogs, cats, and even exotics!

Companion Animal Clinic is Blacksburg's only AAHA Accredited veterinary hospital. Our veteran-owned clinic is conveniently located just off South Main Street near the Airport. We provide general wellness services such as annual checkups, vaccines, and pet dental care. We also perform surgeries, including spay/neuter and pet dental procedures. Cats and dogs are welcome, as are farm birds and exotic mammals. Receive a 10% discount if you bring in 3 or more pets!

Have you ever wondered how an ultrasound actually works? Ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure that uses sound waves to help image tissues, organs, and other body structures. The ultrasound gel helps to connect the probe and skin by reducing air bubbles. Our patients often lay in a padded trough during this procedure; and yes, they do get belly rubs!

We welcomed this sleepy puppy at Eeppy's ! Eeppy slept through most of the exam with the exception of treats for being so cute. We are looking forward to being a part of Eeppy's care team!

Can you believe this cat is almost as long as our tech?! Maine C***s are one of the largest domestic cat breeds. Adults weigh on average between 15 and 25 pounds with an average tail length of 14 inches! These cats are uniquely gorgeous and make for some of our floofiest patients!
