Blackstone Animal Clinic was established September 23, 2003 by Dr. Anne W. A native of Chester, Virginia, Dr. Carr graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia Tech in 1990. Dr. Sarah Nash joined our practice in February of 2011. She is a native of Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995.. She and husband, Parker, also a veterinarian, live in

Powhatan and have two sons. Dr. Anne Oswald is originally from New Jersey, but has lived in Virginia for 25 years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UVA and her DVM from Virginia Tech, Class of 2002. Dr. Kelsie Faulkenberry graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2020. Her husband graduated from the Virginia State Police Academy in 2021. They have one son and live in Victoria. Dr. Charles Hickey received his undergraduate degree from VA Tech in 1969 and his DVM in 1973 from Kansas State University. In 1994 he was awarded the VA State Veterinarian of the Year, in 1997 the AAHA Southeast Regional Practitioner Award and has been recognized for his service by two Virginia governors. In November of 2013, we moved to our present location in order to provide the most modern facilities and services to our clients.

Everyone at Blackstone Animal Clinic would like to wish all of our wonderful clients and patients a Very Merry Christmas 🎄🎄 We hope your Holiday is a Healthy, Happy and Safe one. The clinic will be closing at 1:00 pm on Christmas Eve and all day Christmas Day and the 26th so our staff can spend time with their families during the Holiday.

Do you recognize this sweet boy? A good Samaritan found him between 7th and 8th Streets. He is wearing an electric fence collar, male, not Neutered. We will keep him safe over the weekend and his family can come pick him up on Monday. We're sure someone is missing their boy. Please share so we can find his family.
