Dixie, a dog who came to us for a training evaluation less than a year ago. She did a training program with us and participates in our Reactive Dog Daycare. Here, she is helping a newer member of the program with a history of intense reactivity....Sidda (brown pittie). Sidda used to scream at the sight of a dog across a yard. She just finished a nice treadmill session where we used goggles to diminish her visual intensity and force her to pay attention. Also allowed her time to use her nose to survey the room. The result....a much calmer dog entering a space they previously would not have been able to handle. Baby steps....but real results.

We are excited to introduce Adventure Retreat Weekends!

We have 2 spots left for this upcoming wknd & are opening up 1/14 - 1/16 🥳

What to expect: You’ll drop off your dog Friday afternoon/evening & they will spend the weekend with us. We will tailor each dog’s daily schedule to their individual needs, focusing on our core values:

👉🏼loose leash, follower-state of mind(pack drive) structured walks. This helps all behaviors but most importantly leash reactivity / aggression.
👉🏼Place work. Great for impulse control, anxiety, possession/guarding behaviors, separation anxiety, reactivity... so much!
👉🏼Crate Training. Our goal is to make the crate equal a calm, safe place. So many benefits here as well.

Each dog will have any additional issues worked on as needed - including:
confidence, dog/dog social experiences, pack walks, treadmill training, structured play, reactivity & introduction to muzzle training.

We follow the Follow - Play - Explore - Rest model so each dog will get fulfilled every day. Having them in a follower state of mind, then introducing play, then allowing them to explore, followed by some time to rest & truly take everything in that they have been learning.

You’ll be able to follow along on our stories on social media to see your dogs enjoying themselves throughout the weekend & we will have a go-home session to go over what your pup learned / what we worked on, when you pick them up so you can continue the work!

If you already have a Pet Exec account with us, you can sign up for an Adventure Retreat right within your account! Once you schedule the weekend for boarding you’ll just pick Adventure Retreat from the Boarding Requirements drop down 😄

New equipment update. It's been a while since we posted here. We have been posting some on Blaine Kennels
Little black dog is Moony. She is with us for Dog Squad and getting super comfortable on our new slat mills.
The white/brown pup is Royalty, here for some Enrichment while she is in a foster program. (I'll tag everyone once I figure out 🤔). Follow Me Dogs
