FCAR specializes in helping dogs that other organizations, shelters, or homes struggle to place due to behavioral challenges. As a smaller organization, they take on these incredible dogs, providing them with the professional training and behavior modification they need. This journey requires special handling and expertise, which in-turn comes with an expense. Each dog goes through a behavior modification plan with a trainer and they are housed safely at the facility - these expenses alone would never be recouped with an adoption fee...which is why they rely entirely on donations to continue the mission.

“This dog was adopted 2 years ago from the shelter - a happy, healthy bully mix. She was found this past Tuesday near the landfill, Emaciated, broken and likely near death. They threw her away like trash. My heart breaks for her and what she has endured the last 2 years.”

We are so excited to announce a collaboration with The Bond Between & Final Chance Animal Rescue where we are fostering this sweet momma & her 12, two week old babies. With this partnership, we will accomplish:

- mom + puppies avoided landing at a local humane society/shelter environment

- mom will get spayed & is able to go back home to her owner after the pups are 12 weeks old

- 12 puppies will be able to stay with their momma until they are at least 12 weeks old

- 12 puppies will grow up with our Mentor Pack, creating amazing experiences & mentorship, which creates solid dogs that will in-turn be responsibly placed in our communities

We can’t wait to continue to share updates on their lives as they blossom 🌸

“As a traveling Healthcare professional sometimes it can be hard to leave my dog in a boarding facility in an area or place I don't know. I tend to do a lot of research and take a tour if it's allowed. Here I was able to tour the facility and ask questions which put my mind at ease. My girl Kangaroo is a rescue that came with high energy and separation anxiety. Blaine Kennels gave me comfort that they knew how to manage her while I was gone. The add on packages they have were a great option (I did thr standard boarding and enrichment boarding add on). When I picked her up they informed me she ate and did well, that yes she has high energy and barked some in the kennel but they moved her to a quieter area and she settled down. I would board here again for sure.”
