Chalk it up to the most unfortunate timing, but our air conditioner has stopped working today. Because of the temperature inside (and since we can't open windows for good air flow to cool things down), we are closing today at 3:00 pm. We apologize for the inconvenience, but are looking forward to being back in a temperature regulated office tomorrow that will be better for our staff and your pets. Thanks for your understanding!

Is your pet currently on a heartworm preventative? While heartworm was pretty uncommon here in the past, we are now seeing more cases of heartworm in the Pacific Northwest. Many of those cases are in pets who have never left the area, so they are contracting it from mosquitos that buzz around in our neck of the woods. Heartworm is a life threatening disease, so protection is important.

We are loving the sunshine and warmer weather the past few days - unfortunately, so are the pests that we start to see more this time of year. Did you know all of this about fleas?
