Pinch me!

These last several years have been difficult to say the least with Doughey losing vision and retiring, losing Rigo traumatically to EDM, and then Koast being retired to low levels.

Not to mention having a two year old and now 7mo pregnant with my second baby…

I’ve had this guy stuck in my head for months and finally let myself just go for it after saving some pennies!

Vetted him in Spain today and his arrival should relatively coincide with me having my baby girl and we will both have some time to recover and then get back in the arena!!!!

Not Opey making preliminary look like novice 😂 I’ve taken a trip down memory lane finding old pics of him for a new owner

I imported Opey from Ireland as a 4yo newly under saddle. We had a lot of fun together before selling him to go be a jumper….which he now does at the GP level!

I’ll never forget being bullied by some mean college girls when I posted his sale advertisement because they didn’t think he was worth what I was asking. I think I was maybe 21yrs old. He sold very quickly for what I wanted and had loads of success with many riders at the GP level.

Koast’s hopes for an upper level career is very sadly finished.

I’m disappointed beyond measure. In summary, his cartiledge is not healthy enough to hold up to the heavy lifting of upper level work and there no treatment.

A few months of rehab and I am sure he will be a lovely low level horse for a young rider with his very safe and easy character.

After his time off he will be available for a lease to a low level rider to learn the ropes. I look forward to seeing him flourish in this new phase of life.

He really is a rockstar and we had big hopes but I’m no stranger to the heartache of horse ownership.

✨ Open Position in Tennessee ✨

❗️Preference given to a young horse starter that would like to run their business out of here❗️

We have a private dressage and eventing facility 20m from Knoxville, TN

Only an 8 stall barn with all other horses living outside and the best group of clients you can find 💕

Position would be stall & feed shifts (we have 4 other staff members that can fill in as needed) and grooming/tacking horses for USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medalist.

🏡 Housing available and board for your horse and weekly lessons is included 🐴 pay is roughly $15hr and we have all the equipment to make the job easy.

It can be short or long term and shared housing is available with our assistant trainer (23F).

Other paid work available if you want it

▪️photography of sales horses

I am very open minded to job structure so if there is something in the equine industry that you are very interested in, I am happy to facilitate/support it/discuss options with you.
