Nubian X doelings, Lucy (marbled) & Ethel (brown dapples) just having some sisterly fun.
#FunnyFriday #TwinThings
I know we haven't posted in a while. We were going through various (human) health issues while simultaneously trying to make repairs and improvements around the farm.
Things are still a bit difficult, but there's been some improvement, so we'll try to catch up on the updates.
In the meantime, here's a short video from about a month ago of both fillies (Knight's Fairytale - Blood Bay | Knight's Caipirinha - Dark/Seal Bay) having fun in the round pen.
After the girls came back from Virginia, they got comfortable in a temporary smaller paddock while we were repairing their normal field.
Knight's Fairytale decided that this pile of old leftover hay was most suitable bedding.
For some reason my phone shot better video than my old Nikon, so here's a better resolution clip of the girls in the field at the grading site during the days leading up to the KNN Inspection.
Knight's Fairytale is the Blood Bay filly, while Knight's Caipirinha is the Seal Bay filly.
Quick little clip of these half sisters. Fairytale (left) & Caipirinha (right). Both daughters of Colorado SkrΓΈdstrup.
Looks like Fae is an escape artist in the making!
Cute clip of Caipirinha enjoying her turnout.
Knight's Caipirinha (Rini) enjoying her turnout in the attached run.
First turnout for Daquiry and Rini, with video taken this morning by our fantastic vet.
Those gosh darn ducks, lol!!!π¦π¦
First turnout for Daquiry and Rini, sent by our fantastic vet!
Daquiry and Rini's first turnout sent by our vet this morning.
Second day on earth, and Knight's Fairytale still felt up to exploring and stretching her legs this afternoon despite prior turnout in the morning and the nap she had just taken beforehand.
We'll post the video of her zoomies later, but we just had to share this clip of her choosing to go over the crossrail.
Willingness: 10/10, Form: Something to be desired, lol, but it's only her first try, and she's only been alive for a full 2 whole days!
The vet was kind enough to send us a couple of video clips of Muffin and Fairytale's first turnout.

A very pregnant, very sleepy Daquiry.
Fanfare and Daquiry enjoying a nice roll. Muffin thought about it, but is ultimately content to simply paw at the ground before they ambled off.
Our pretty 11/16ths mare, Daquiry, still has some nice moments at the trot despite her soundness issues from a pasture accident as a youngster that broke her shoulder.
