🚨Late post🚨 but we had a great time at our tracking and trailing seminar in Orange Tx, shoutout to the awesome K9 teams who put in some hard miles in the swamp and downtown! They worked hard day and night sharpening their skills! We had a total of 3 handlers and 4 K9s who attended this 3 day seminar. Look for more training opportunities this fall 💪🏻🐕

Just finished putting a few of these K9 scent article kits together for a department and thought I would go ahead and add them to the website! They should be up in the next few days! These kits include non-permeable glass evidence jars that are reusable after proper sterilizing and cleaning, as well as pre-packaged 4x4 sterile gauze pads in bags ready to use and easy to restock, individually packaged sterile gloves, plastic tongs, and evidence labels. The key to a good track starts with a good start and scent article! This kit comes packaged in a waterproof and air sealed Nanak 910 case to keep your kit sterile and ready to go for any environment. We wrapped up our 4 day Tracking/Trailing Workshop in Vicksburg Ms, these teams worked hard and tracked 30+ miles in 4 days. I can’t wait to see these teams succeed in the field! I want to thank ERDC for hosting us on the facility and the agency’s that sent and supported their K9 teams. RRK9 Vicksburg Tracking and Trailing Workshop has been in full swing this week! Here’s some pics of the first two days had a great time trailing with teams from Vicksburg Police, Warren County Sheriffs Office, Columbus Fire Dept, and Badlands SAR Team still two days left to finish out the week strong!

Urban training is vital in a good trailing dog even if it’s not the environment you normally work in, it makes the dog really think and go back to the basics it’s also good for the handler to see the dogs behavior change in this environment and see how the dogs reacts to different scent pictures and odor pools created by the urban terrain as well as distractions and environmental challenges, in busy populated areas like this it’s reassuring to watch the dog work and reassure the handler that the dog is working a scent specific trail with multiple cross tracks!….I’ll try and post the go pro video of this track soon!
