Today we are looking at the Black Headed Python! 🐍

These ground dwelling pythons are native to Australia and can be found in a variety of habitats, where they often occupy burrows. They are well known for their black head, which they use to help soak up heat, while keeping the rest of their body hidden and safe. They are known to eat other reptiles - even venomous snakes, in addition to birds and mammals! This wide variety makes Reptilinks a great option for this species!

Rodents always seem to be the go to prey item for snake keepers. They are easy to get your hands on, and most snakes will eat them... BUT if we look at the natural diet of many species readily kept in the reptile hobby, you'll find that there is more to their diets than just rodents!

Many snakes have diets containing birds, other reptiles, or amphibians! While this sounds trickier to replicate in captivity than getting your hands on rodents, here at Reptilinks we wanted to make it easy for you!

We source unique prey options for you and grind them into easy to digest links for and easy and mess free feeding experience! Want to learn more? Visit our website www.reptilinks.com🐸🐍🐭🐥🦎

Dont worry! We'll do the dirty work for you! 🐍

Because of the nature of pre-grinding prey, more of the prey is available for absorption and less energy is used in digestion compared to rodents! Reptilinks will help you reap the benefits without having to get your hands dirty! 🦎🐸🐊🐍

Today we are looking at the Crocodile Monitor (Varanus salvadorii)! 🦎

These monitors are one of the longest lizards in the world and can be found in the mangrove swamps and coastal rainforests of New Guinea. Being opportunistic feeders, they'll consume birds, small mammals, eggs, amphibians, other reptiles, and carrion - making Reptilinks a great option for these lizards!

🦎It’s Species Sunday🐍 where we take a look at species that love Reptilinks!

We've already covered the African Bullfrog before, but we want to give them a shout out again for being super Dads in honor of Father's Day! 🐸

These frogs will mate near small shallow areas of water, and then the male will take on the paternal role of guarding the eggs and then watching over the tadpoles once they hatch. What great Dads!
