La Bahía Retrievers Gun dog and obedience training programs Hello,

My name is Ted Davant. Founder/owner of La Bahía Retrievers and part owner/guide at La Bahía Outfitters.

I have been an avid outdoorsman that started at the age of 8 years old. As I grew and gained experience in the field I developed a fascination and love of watching gun dogs work. I began training my own gun dogs/hunting companions at the age of 15 and started guiding upland hunts at Coastal Wild Wings at the age of 17. Over the past 15 years of training and guiding I have gained extensive knowledg

e of and specialize in training Labrador retrievers. Between guiding upland and waterfowl hunts I have seen many different situations that these dogs can find their selves in, and I train for those exact situations. My dogs come out of my training program as obedient, steady gun dogs. Although I mostly train Labradors, I have trained other dog breeds for retrieving and also for obedience, and would love to work with your dog if giving the chance. My goal is to find out what you as an owner want out of your dog and focus on exactly that. I have different programs from basic to advanced gun dog and basic obedience.
