Life begins and life ends. Two days ago we had to say good bye to long time sanctuary pup Roscoe.😢 He has been loosing weight over the summer, was diagnosed with cancer and finally went into kidney failure about 10 days ago. Thank you, Dr. Katy Harris for helping him. ❤️
Roscoe came to us 12 years ago as a very reactive dog due to obvious abuse. While he mellowed some, Roscoe remained reactiv until the very end. We take comfort in knowing that he lived a very happy and spoiled life at The Nest. So long, little buddy, we shall see you later.

Right, you are so right! We don't do puppies. Unless you get a desperate call from an animal shelter that just picked up a stray poodle thing that just gave birth to 6 puppies! This happened 9 weeks ago. Both mom and pups received tons of TLC and all necessary veterinary care and are now READY FOR A NEW HOME. Please spread the word and let us know if you would like to meet them. ❤️

We nestlings would like to wish all our friends a good morning and an energized start into the work week with some WONDERFUL NEWS! In this picture you see Phee and her 6 babies when they came to The Nest 8 weeks ago. Mom was in rough shape unable to nurse her babies at the time. Thanks to the immediate vet care by Dr. Katy Harris' at Heal Pet Care and the 8 weeks of TLC by two outstanding foster moms, Phee and her puppies are doing very well. Phee and 3 of her pips are in need of a permanent home. Stay tuned for more pictures and updates!

It has been a very busy and a bit crazy 3 weeks at the nest. 3 of our kittens came down with feline Parvo (feline distemper) and of course both times it happened during the weekend...However thanks to 25 years of experience with shelter animals, we managed to get them through and they are well again. But the most wonderful news is that ALL of them have loving homes.
Thank you all who contributed to the kittens care!! We could not have done it without your monetary donations. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
