Lilies are be beautiful, but did you know they are highly toxic to cats? Even a tiny amount — chewing a leaf, licking pollen, or drinking vase water — can cause kidney failure. And fast!

If you suspect your cat has been exposed to lilies, it's an emergency. Don't hesitate to call your veterinarian here at Pet Crossing (952-884-8248) or call the Pet Poison Helpline as soon as possible.

Veterinary ophthalmologist Cassandra Bliss led the expert team that performed cataract surgery on two African lions at Wildlife Safari in Oregon. The surgery, which was successful, required specialized surgical tools and equipment.

And if you aren’t subscribed to Steve Dale’s newsletter you need to if you want up to date and accurate information about your 4 legged kids. He’s an excellent writer, great human being and a huge advocate for our furries. I’m not just saying that because he’s my friend…really.

Blitz was truly amazing! Pet Crossing was very lucky to have been part of his life. Here's to you, Blitz! You will be so missed 💙

"The Edina Police Department is sad to announce the death of retired K-9 Blitz. At 11-years-old, Blitz peacefully passed away on Tuesday due to advanced cancer. He retired on Dec. 31, 2023, after eight years with the department and over 650 calls for service. Our thoughts are with Blitz's handler, Officer Sean Young. Thank you to K-9 Blitz for protecting and serving the City of Edina for eight years! 💙"
