We provide Full Service Pet Grooming needs as well as full time Dog/Cat Boarding and Daycare Services & a Self Wash Tub for your convenience.

We are a full service grooming shop. We clip and file nails, express a**l glands, remove ear hair and swab out the wax, brush and remove shedding hair, perform shaving and trimming and baths with a wide variety of organic shampoos and conditioners for your pet. Appointment stays range from 2 to 5 hours depending on the breed and size of your pet. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call us or drop on in, we'll be more than happy to assist you.

As many of you know, during this time of year many grooming salons experiance a slow down in business. Because we are a commission based salon, our groomers go home for the day after they are finished with their last dog. Due to this our hours will vary day to day. We are still accepting walk in services but if they will be later in the day, please call ahead to 812-822-3092. We thank you for your understanding.

MEET OUR STAFF MONDAY

Meet Rachel, one of our groomers. Her love for animals started off very young living on a farm with many different animals. In 2020, she began her grooming journey as a bather. After bathing for a while she decided she wanted to do more, so she attended The Grooming School of Indiana. She groomed at other salons until May of 2023 when she came to D’s. She recently made her return from maternity leave, and is excited to be back doing what she loves! Her favorite dogs to groom are Dobermans (like her own, Beau) and big hairy breeds!

MEET OUT STAFF MONDAY

Meet Kenn, one of our groomers!
Kenn entered the dog world in January of 2021 as a kennel assistant in Illinois. They worked their way from assistant and receptionist to a team lead. Through working with boarding dogs, Kenn found their passion to help dogs and became a dog trainer! A year and a half ago Kenn moved to Indiana, and lives with their partner and their 4 kids(Cheddar-Golden Retriever, Dudley-Boxer/Plott Hound, Nigel-Ball Python, and of course Kwazii the cat!). A year ago in November of 2022, Kenn became a dog bather, while pet sitting and training on the side! In June of this year, Kenn found their way to D’s and worked as a receptionist, bather, and helped with boarding when needed! They recently decided to transition to grooming and are loving it! Their favorite dogs to groom are Goldens and puppies!

MEET OUR STAFF MONDAY

Meet one of our groomers, Grace Sego.
Grace started working at D’s in August of 2021 as a receptionist. In November of 2021, she started as a groomer. At the time, it was just Dorothy and Grace and she was trained on the spot. She says it was the best decision of her life! She loves the relationships she’s formed with her clients/their pets! Her favorite breeds to groom are yorkies and german shepherds (like her own GSD, Achilles, shown in the first picture). Her nickname at the shop was “the yorkie master.” She plans to continue working here for a very long time, as she feels it’s her calling. She says she wouldn’t trade this job for the world!

Meet Our Staff Monday

Meet our owner, Dorothy DiCristo. Dorothy was raised in Long Island, New York where she attended the New York School of Dog Grooming in 1978. Dorothy and her husband, Ciro, moved to Bloomington in 1996. In 2007, after having her three daughters, Dorothy began D’s Doggie Do’s & Cats Too in her home. Upon moving to a brick and mortar shop in 2014, her business grew, and is continuing to grow in her most recent move to 4545 S.R. 45. She has also expanded the grooming business to now include boarding and daycare for dogs and cats. Dorothy continues to groom and is grateful for a dedicated and talented staff and her fine customers that come through her door everyday!
