Each kennel has its own private outdoor patio, giving your dog a space to enjoy fresh air and sunshine! We exercise all dogs 4-6 times a day in our securely fenced yards, with 4 separate areas to ensure a peaceful and safe environment based on behavior.

Top Dog Pet Retreat started with a dream and a deep love for dogs. In August 2018, we took over this beautiful 40-acre property in Stanford, Indiana, and continued its legacy of a safe, comfortable retreat for dogs.

We are a family-owned business, and it’s our mission to provide the very best care for every dog that stays with us. With our 2 beloved dogs—Wesson (10-year-old golden retriever) and Jiemba (5-year-old blue heeler, adopted from a neighbor)—we understand the importance of personalized, loving care.

As we head into our 7th year of business, we’re excited to announce the launch of our brand-new website! We’ve built Top Dog Pet Retreat on a foundation of trust, and our 2+ acre pond and expansive grounds offer plenty of space for your dog to feel right at home.
