Do you have questions about whether you should be offering your pet a grain-free diet? The top 3 points to consider regarding grain-free diets are: A. They are a "fad" diet promoted by commercial dog food companies to sell their product, often for dogs with "allergies" or marketed as being "healthier." B. Most food allergies are, in fact, related to the type of protein in the diet (most often chicken) and not grains. C. Grain-free diets have been found to be linked to a heart disease in dogs known as dilated cardiomyopathy. As always, talk to your veterinarian about what diet is right for your pet.
