Pittiefest ended yesterday.

King (5 year old male) was the face of our Pittiefest. We featured him, ran news stories on him, and prayed this would be his lucky adoption event. Heartbreakingly, it was not. Not a single person asked to meet with King during our month long $5 pittie adoption promotion 💔

King is our longest shelter resident at over 8 months of waiting for an adopter. We are worried about his stress levels. We work hard day in and day out to combat stress through creative enrichment, walks, day trips, etc. but sometimes the shelter stress becomes too much.

King has started to compulsively lick and chew himself overnight. He is stressed. He needs a home ASAP.

King is a goofball. We know he is a normal dog outside of the shelter that LOVES to play with toys. He is open to meeting other dogs and kids that can handle his large, rambunctious size. He appears to have a high prey drive, so a home without kitties would be preferred.

If you are interested in adopting, please head to the shelter. Please bring everyone in the home including resident dogs with proof of rabies/distemper. We are open daily 12-6pm.
