Dogwood Whitetails is a family operated business that officially began December of 2010. We are located in Zion Grove PA, which is 20 minutes East of Bloomsburg PA right off route 339. As usual running behind schedule but we managed to get the rest of bucks cut, breeders moved, fawns moved and about five days before last year so thankful for that!

Yearlings!

I always enjoy show casing the yearlings and while there wasn't any major standouts they pretty much had the same look.......PRETTY!

Can't wait to see how these guys fair out at 2.

Finished Out!

Well the boys are pretty well finished up and I've got to say the old man showed up this year. I have a feeling he'll break the 30" wide club.

Trim trim trim

Had to do a little work on this fella this morning. Noticed his one drop was broken over the weekend and decided to act! Glad I did, the drop had quite a few fly eggs and observed some larva (freshly hatched) on the main beam.

Removed the drop, cleaned infected area, a sprits of alumashield, couple shots and this two year old was sent on his way.

Fawning Season Officially Closed!

Ended the season with a total of 13. The ratio was a little higher for the bucks at 8 to 5. All healthy and doing well!

On another note my little helper showed up prepared to work the last day. He certainly enjoys fawn season!

Roller-coaster Ride!

Who doesn't love a good roller coaster ride!? The girls were not letting up this weekend as we had 7 fawns born from Friday night to Saturday.

Two does had triplets which is always quite the surprise. It certainly hasn't been fun trying to locate these little buggers in 4' high orchardgrass. 🤣

On the board!

We finally had some newcomers show up yesterday.

Buck and doe fawn out of one of our powerhouse does. Pink 43 has been producing some huge frames for us over the years. Super excited to see what's in store for these two!

Spring has Sprung!

Taken a few weeks ago, the dogwoods in full bloom the boys are growing and the fawns should be dropping any day now! What a great time of year!

Better Late than Never!

Year after year I seem to be behind the 8 ball when it comes to getting deer cut and moved around for breeding season. Well this year is certainly no better 🤣. I was hoping this two year old would sell but no luck so why not throw him in with a pen full of girls!?

Trimming Season Officially Underway!

Cut a few bucks this weekend including some of the smaller yearlings. These guys will be fun to watch next year.

Also had my little farm hand helping today and he held his own!

3rd Times a Charm!

Haven't seen this dude shed out naturally since he was a yearling (even then he broke two tines).

What a roller coaster this guy has been. At two years old he was just starting to shed when his drop tine had a pretty significant infection so we decided to relieve him early.

Last year at 3 was probably his worse year. Early June he broke a kicker on his right side which ended up healing and jot breaking velvet. Around mid to late July he broke a drop at the main beam and skinned the velvet all the way to the tip of the main beam. We monitored him for awhile seemed okay until we started noticing his eye swelling and broke another 6 inch kicker on the same side (I believe at this point he was asking for a haircut🤣). We decided to cut him and found a good deal of infection, however made a full recovery.

At this point I was convinced this boy knew what he needed to do to stay on the farm. This year at four I was a bit nervous as he was growing at the rate he was at two. He started getting a huge drop on his left side and started hanging his head a little. He hung in there and to my amazement this week he is pretty much all polished up!
