UPF lived up to a promise made at our Paws in the Park Event at Summit Park in Blue Ash to deliver resources to Western North Carolina Helene Flood Victims. On Thursday, October 24th, a 26-foot Hertz Rental Truck loaded to the gills with 6 tons of supplies pulled out of our Blue Ash warehouse. On the way down, we picked up Tony Vaughn from Hazard, KY. Tony went through the flood of 2 years ago, and has been our main contact in Hazard to deliver supplies for the past 2 years.
Flood damage to the road, detours, a heavily loaded truck climbing up the Smokey Mountains made for a long day, but we got to our drop-off staging area in Hendersonville, NC by noon on Thursday. Working with Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), the resources (which included dog and cat food, Kingsford charcoal, pet beds, 4 electric generators, farm animal supplies, and much more, were unloaded by Scott at the staging area....The Horse Shoe Farm.
Over the next several weeks, GEM Representative Majel Mary Wilson, will work with local animal shelters, rescues and veterinary clinics to make sure that these donations will get to where they do the most good. Thank you GEM for helping to make this happen!

United Pet Fund Volunteers represented well at the annual Blue Ash Halloween Walk in the Woods. Volunteers Doug and Tracy, in their natural every-day wear, handed out delicious candy to hundreds (if not a thousand!) Trick-or Treaters at this Fun Event held each year at the Blue Ash Nature Park. Dentists also celebrate this event each year...😉

🐾 Paws in the Park at Summit Park Was a Blast! 🐾
Sunday, October 13th, over 3,500 dog-loving attendees joined us at the beautiful Summit Park in Blue Ash for a fun-filled day with their canine companions! 🐶 The weather was perfect for an exciting lineup of activities including Lure Courses, Agility, Fun Zones, Food Trucks, Vendors, Disc Club exhibitions, and so much more!
A big shout-out to the City of Blue Ash for hosting and supporting UPF and its over 100 regional animal rescues and shelters. 🎉 We also want to thank everyone who participated in the raffle to help raise funds for the flood-ravaged areas of Western North Carolina.

Hurricane Helene created a weather day on September 28th that made us postpone the event. With the help of the City of Blue Ash, we have rescheduled it to Sunday afternoon, October 13, 2024. United Pet Fund continued it's Hartz Mt. / UPF Resource Train endeavors with a trailer load of resources going down to a coalition of rescues/shelters in Sunbright, TN. Under the leadership of the Moco Mutts Rescue Center and Tracy Wyant, they received a full trailer load of puppy pads, dog and cat food and supplies. Among the load was a donation from Ethos - Natural Balance of Semi-moist dog food...4 pallets worth! Their generous donation was made possible through our partnership with GreaterGood Charities. We want to thank Ethos - Natural Balance and GreaterGood Charities for this wonderful donation.

As you can see from my lack of Facebook Postings, something I rarely do....but even an old dog can learn new tricks (meaning my dog Hunter....as I am not aging :) ). Want to put out the opportunity out there for those in the Dog-loving public, and especially those with businesses, to help brand your business to 3-5,000 Dog-loving folks at the United Pet Fund Paws in the Park Event this coming September 28th, 2024, at the beautiful Summit Park, in Blue Ash, OH. A fund-raising event for United Pet Fund, but free for the public to attend. We hope to register Sponsors (up till August 8th), and Vendors (up till September 5th). Our own Tracy Kim appeared on Channel 12's Good Morning Cincinnati at 9 AM yesterday morning to talk about the involvement of UPF with The Summit Hotel in Madisonville to help celebrate their 10 year Anniversary with a Dog Jog and 5 K Race. This event is being held on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023 with registration starting at 7:30 am in the lobby of The Summit Hotel, and Race starting at 9 am. UPF and GreaterGood Respond to Eastern KY Flood Victims

United Pet Fund, with the help of valuable resources made available through GreaterGood.org, was able to deliver 6 tons of valuable dog and cat food and supplies to the flood ravaged areas in Eastern Kentucky. Tony Vaughn, with the help of Anthony Asher and Caleb, helped unload Suzie (UPF's Isuzu Box Truck). Tony and his wife Beth run Mountainview Wildlife Rehabilitation, but they stepped to the plate to help take in and arrange delivery of the resources to the 4 hardest hit counties around Hazard, KY. Thank you Tony, Beth and all!
