Right next to Summit Park, we are building our veterinary hospital from the ground up with your pets in mind. When you come through our doors, you'll find a modern, inviting and thoughtfully designed space to put you and your pets at ease. The addition o

Exciting news! Dr. Max Ziemba has joined Blue Ash Veterinary Hospital! Get to know Dr. Ziemba:

Dr. Ziemba is a 2021 graduate from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Z was born and raised in Cincinnati before venturing away for higher education. Following graduation, Dr. Z has spent the last 4 years predominantly in general practice while also gaining experience in emergency medicine.

Dr. Z is a strong advocate for the human-animal bond and providing pets with compassionate care. This is why Dr. Z is Fear-Free certified and always looking for new ways to improve the visit experience for pets and clients alike.

Dr. Z is married to an amazingly-talented veterinarian and has two dogs, two cats and a chihuahua (the chihuahua is basically half cat, half dog so she gets her own category). If Dr. Z isn’t at work heckling Dr. S over their SEC rivalry, he can usually be found rock climbing, hiking with his dogs or at an FCC game.

Exciting News! 🎉 Blue Ash Veterinary Hospital is officially opening its doors on March 17, 2025! Dr. Laurena Schlasinger and her team are thrilled to bring compassionate, high-quality veterinary care to the Blue Ash community.

⭐️ Meet Dr. Schlasinger ⭐️

Dr. Schlasinger is a 2003 graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Schlasinger has been providing high quality compassionate veterinary care on the east side of Cincinnati since 2007. She is lovingly referred to as “Dr. S” by her clients and teammates. Dr. S often jokes that she can not say her married name or spell it on some days! Dr. S grew up in Georgia and was surrounded by pets – multiple dogs, cats, rabbits, gerbils, mice, even a lizard. It’s not surprising that at 13 she knew she would be a veterinarian. She began working in a veterinary hospital at 18 and has tackled every job from cleaning cages to answering phones. Dr. S realizes the bond we share with our pets is significant – often stronger than a relationship with another person.

Shortly after earning her veterinary degree, Dr. S moved to Cincinnati where she met her husband. Together, they have two daughters and two beagles, Abbie and Archie. Dr. S enjoys reading, listening and dancing to all kinds of music and tending to her flower garden. Her favorite season is summer. Dr. S loves soaking up the sun and floating in the pool or in Lake Cumberland with a yummy beverage in her hand. Dr. S is also a passionate Georgia Bulldogs fan and loves watching the UGA football games. GO DAWGS!!

Our next Meet the Team post! Meet Haley, the 'Center' of our operations here at Blue Ash Veterinary Hospital!🏈🐾

Haley has been working alongside Dr. Schlasinger for the past 5 years, and we're thrilled to have her expertise as our Practice Manager in this exciting new venture.

Haley is passionate about providing exceptional client service and ensuring a smooth and compassionate experience for all our furry friends. When she's not keeping our team organized, you can find her cheering on her two amazing kids: Emersynn and Latham.🩷💙

Haley's husband, Gavin (a die-hard Tennessee Vols fan who loves to playfully tease Dr. S about her Georgia Bulldog loyalty!), and she met in college at Mount St. Joseph University as athletic training students. Together, they share their home with 3 mischievous cats (Winnie, Oliver, and Scout) and 1 very spoiled dog (Tater).🐱🐶

Haley's love for animals began with Winnie, a cat she adopted from a friend in college. Winnie's frequent upper respiratory infections led to numerous vet visits, inspiring Haley to pursue veterinary medicine instead of her initial path in human medicine.🩺

Haley is passionate about providing exceptional care and creating a welcoming environment for all our clients. We're thrilled to have her on the team at Blue Ash Veterinary Hospital!💜🐾

Meet our Medical Director Dr. Laurena Schlasinger! She brings over 20 years of experience to the Blue Ash community and is a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
