AAVIO (American Association of Veterinarians of Indian Origin) is proud to support the Mission Rabies campaign in India—an inspiring global health initiative led by Worldwide Veterinary Services (WVS).

🌍 A total of 200 dedicated veterinary field workers from across India, along with 8 international veterinarians and 2 veterinary technicians from Australia, the UK, and the USA, joined forces with local veterinarians and veterinary students. Each day, they walked 10–12 km across challenging terrain to deliver life-saving rabies vaccines to stray dogs.

📋 Behind the scenes, the Mission Rabies administrative and logistics teams ensured seamless coordination of operations.

🧑‍⚕️ Veterinary technicians and doctors from Rajasthan and Telangana received hands-on training, helping to build skills for long-term impact and sustainability.

👮‍♂️ Local law enforcement and government officials actively engaged the public, raising crucial awareness about rabies prevention and the importance of responsible pet care.

Together, we stand united by one mission: to eliminate rabies from India by 2030.

AAVIO is honored to be part of this collective effort, collaborating with international and local partners to protect both human and animal lives through science, compassion, and coordinated action.
