Wet Noses Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit headquartered in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Founded in 2020 by Abe and Tracey Abrams, we are a foster based rescue that pulls animals from high kill-shelters in the Atlanta area and find them loving homes. While we have a variety of breeds, ages, and sizes, we focus on senior, special needs, small dogs, and puppies. We rely on a volunteer network to help w

ith our lifesaving work. Volunteers provide transportation (aka Freedom Rides) from county animal shelters to the rescue. Once an animal arrives, they receive full medical care, a lot of love, and behavioral support as they adjust to their foster home.

Handsome Gunnar is a gentle sweetheart with a happy-go-lucky demeanor who will bring so much joy to your life. It's really hard to have a bad day when you see his wagging tail and his happy, bouncy demeanor. He also melts into your arms for naps and cuddles. 😍

Gunnar loves being where his people are and will check-in every few minutes just to make sure they are still present. This gentle boy has grown up in the rescue and patiently waited for his family. Please help us find his happy tail!

Handsome Amos is 9 years young and loves to play! This sweet, happy boy will keep you laughing with his antics. To top it off, he is also cat friendly and super dog friendly! He came from a home with many dogs, so his ideal home would have at least one canine companion to keep him company.

Pilot is an adventurous one year old mixed breed pup. He spends his day running and playing with his foster siblings, pausing to give his foster mom kisses and get a belly rub break. Pilot is a very loving and playful dog, and would make a great camping or hiking buddy. Another dog to play with would be an awesome bonus.

💛Meet Hazel💛

Hazel is a 9 year old senior who is easy to love. Her foster mom describes her as, "a happy old lady" who enjoys the simple things in life. You can most often find her near her foster pawrents, preferably sitting right next to them or in a lap. When she isn't living her best life as a lapdog, she enjoys wondering around the yard and exploring all the sights and smells.

Hazel is deaf, so will need a patient family who can work with her on visual cues. She also has no teeth and will need soft food. She doesn't let either one of these things slow her down and will make a very loving companion to a lucky family. Adorable Jolly will bring new life into your home. This sweet girl has so much joy to give and her happiness is infectious. When not playing with her canine foster siblings, she loves to cuddle up next to her foster pawrents for pets and love.

💕Adopt Turtle💕

Hi friends! My name is Turtle and I'm looking for a family to enjoy my golden years. I'm around 9 years old and think there's many advantages to adopting a perfectly aged dog like me. I'm fully potty trained and enjoy the simple things in life, such as snuggling and siestas on the couch in the afternoon. I also REALLY enjoy food time and have been told I make the most hilarious face while eagerly awaiting my dinner bowl.

While I take a bit for me to warm up, once I do I'll be your shadow. I love my foster dad and snuggle up to him every night. My people are my favorite thing and I hate being separated from them. The good news is that I enjoy car rides and would love to ride along with my new family for errands and adventures. It would also be super fun if my family is up for short walks when the weather is nice outside.
My foster mom says I'm a little extra special because of 6 out of 6 heart murmur. I don't really know what that means, but I take medications daily that keep me healthy. You would never know because I show no symptoms and am just a sweet, easy pup.
