It was 33 degrees he froze. He had no injuries and was perfectly fine yesterday.

Someone told me they didn't need heat.
Well I learnt my Lesson. My silkies do need some kind of heat ...

I have to brag on my Rooster
He looks after his ladies , always let them eat first , finds food for them .
He is not aggressive toward other chickens , and I now have another rooster, they just go their separate ways and don't fight.

This morning he was showing baby chics where food was!

I lucked out!
