Cohutta Stables Services include training, boarding, sales, and private outfitted trail riding in the National Forest We customize our training plan to suit your needs.

We specialize in gaited horses and also offer guided trail rides on the Chattahoochee National Forest. Boarding, and overnight stabling for travelers and vacationers. You may drop off a horse for training or come and spend time and learn with your horse.

Gotta love a Friesian Sport Horse; and this guy has famous lines, sire is Sjoerd most decorated Friesian out there...even mad it to Breyer horse!

Quasar is a spectacular Friesian/Saddlebred cross; yes, his sire is the famous Sjoerd, and his dam is a champion pinto Saddlebred. Google Sjoerd....amazing horse! Quasar is registered with the Friesian Heritage Horse Registry. Now 5 years old, Quasar has been started under saddle.

Theo is a 5 year old Tennessee Walking Horse gelding. Theo is a smooth, fun, energetic young horse. We have ridden him extensively in the mountains and around the neighborhood; he is used to water, lots of obstacles, vehicles, utvs, bicycles and riding with dogs.

Cohutta Stables is nestled in the Southern Appalachian Mountains, in the small town of Blue Ridge, Georgia.

We are a family owned and operated horse farm with over 40+ years of experience in the equine industry, specializing in work with gaited horse breeds.

Our services include training, boarding, sales, riding lessons, and outfitted trail riding in the Chattahoochee National Forest.

At Cohutta Stables, we believe that the key to a great ride is a comfortable, safe and sensible horse. Our goal is to help riders find the horse to meet their individual needs, and to facilitate memorable horseback riding experiences.
