Black mule is a branded Milam Mule and is gaited, and was used for camping/trail riding she's 11 yo; Sorrel and Bay are full sisters, 8 and 9 years old. These girls are friendly and easy to handle. Gotta love a bay molly. She's pretty, she's friendly, she's got a great temperament, she rides and drives. At 9 years old and 15 hands, this girl is ready to go to work for you. Her full sister is the red mule in an earlier post, they're about the same size....just not matching colors. The breeder/owner imprinted these girls, handled them correctly, trained them using kind methods. You can crawl all over these mules, they're gentle. Working on some video.

This gorgeous molly is 14.3 hands and 8 years old and just a pleasure to ride. She is friendly, and meets you at the gate. Stands nicely for hoof care, ties well, and has been extensively handled. Experienced trail riding, does well on difficult trails, happy to ride wherever you put her. We also have her full sister, they don't match in color but very similar. They make a nice pair.

We've got mules! These girls are really nice mules. They were trained correctly, handled extensively, and are just a pleasure to work with. This mule is 11 years old and 14.3, has extensive trail riding in the mountains, and is gaited. Prissy is Missouri bred and was professionally trained; she's everything you want to go trail riding and camping. Rides well in a group, leads, follows, and crosses technical obstacles easily.

Super quiet and calm gelding. He's coming 5 years old and is a pleasure to ride. Completed his first wagon train ride this weekend, and it was a great time! He was quiet riding in the group, super calm with lots of wagons and rode calmly in a big group of horses. I'm very proud of this young guy. Happy to discuss if you are interested. He's big and tall, and still doing a bit of growing.

Mares aren’t always well liked and for the same reasons strong women aren’t.

Opinionated? Those opinions are not without good cause and maybe you can't figure them out or maybe you just don’t like her opinion of you. Change it and she will always be on your side.

Stubborn? She just won’t let you bulldoze her. Treat her with respect and her resilience will be an asset to you.

Difficult? You just can’t handle her. You don’t have what it takes.

Stick with geldings then, and leave the mare for someone who understands her and appreciates the same qualities society has subtlety taught you not to like.

Here’s to mares, to strong women, and to those who CAN and DO appreciate them!
