Position: Riding Instructor (Western and/or English)

Location: Bluffdale

Hours: Part time - Full time

Schedule: Flexible you make your own😊

Pay: Depends on experience, average is around $10-$15 per hour (yearly reviews/raises, and bonuses!)

Requirements:
✨16 years or older
✨Have a valid US license
✨Minimum of 4 years riding experience, preferably under a trainer
✨Reliable transportation year round
✨Able to provide excellent customer service to both parents and students
✨Communicate effectively
✨Self motivated
✨Teaching experience preferred but not required

Job Duties:
✨Teach students proper ground handling, safety, and riding technique
✨Communicate effectively with customers and other team members
✨Care for tack and maintain clean working condition
✨Assist with summer camps
✨Sub lessons
✨Assist with Birthday parties
✨Be willing as other job duties may arise from time to time

We are running our Christmas special for new riders! For November and December if you buy 4 lessons you get 1 lesson free, this can be used anytime from now until the end of 2025. These are for private hour lessons, we can also sell them as a group package if you have multiple kids, contact me for pricing on group packages. Everything is provided for you! We teach both English and western pleasure as well as jumping, we also have competition opportunities for advanced riders. Lessons are taught in an indoor arena so we can ride all year round!

Are you located in Utah and want your child to have the opportunity to show horses? AP Horse Training has 1 spot available for next years show season beginning in October. Application deadline closes August 15th so I have time to go through applicants😊 You do not currently need to be apart of the AP Horse Training program to apply.
Our private competition team travels around the state of Utah to various Western/English pleasure shows on average once a month. Showing is a great opportunity for your child’s education as well as their confidence! Don’t have a horse? No problem we can provide one for you! Please know that showing is a huge financial and time commitment but is well worth it! We have a wonderful and supportive group of parents and kids, this provides a great opportunity to make some friends with a common interest! Message us if you’re interested 😊
Qualifications:
*Ages 11-17
*Must be able to Walk/Trot unassisted on the rail
*3-5 hours per week time commitment plus 12 hour show days at least once a month.

We are looking for a Western and/or English instructor to join our team for our bluffdale location! We have indoor facilities so this is a year round position. Currently this position is part time (10-15 hours per week) we may be able to accommodate a more full time schedule in the future for the right applicant. We are willing to train someone but riding experience is required and non negotiable. Pay depends on experience but starts at $10-$15 per hour with the opportunity for yearly raises. If you’re looking for an Easter gift we have a couple openings for horseback riding lessons! We have vouchers available that can be added to Easter baskets.
Indoor facilities for riding in any weather as well as gentle schooling horses for your kids to safely learn on. We teach Western and English pleasure as well as jumping and barrels( currently no openings for barrels) Lessons are a private 1 on 1, hour lesson with an instructor 😊

If your child has been interested in showing horses it’s your lucky day! Due to some unforeseen circumstances we have one spot opening up in January. Below are the qualifications to apply, you do not need to be a current student with us to apply

Qualifications:
1. Can W/T/C confidently off of a lunge line
2. Ages 10-17
3. Good attitude (Both parent and student)
4. Hard working (Both parent and student)

Parents please be aware that this is a huge financial and time commitment, please only apply if you are serious. That being said your child’s horse education will greatly benefit from this experience! We have a fantastic group of parents and kids this year and we all have a blast! We are located at Keystone Equestrian and have indoor facilities for year round riding. We teach beginner to advanced lessons in all of the following: Western and English pleasure, barrels, jumping, and have competition opportunities for students that want to advance. Students learn all aspects of horsemanship including catching, leading, grooming, tacking, groundwork, and riding. We take ages 7+ (we can do younger but it is on a case by case basis). Our Halloween camp is this weekend! This is for ages 6-18 and we will have games both on and off the horses as well as some stuff for the kiddos to take home. No horse experience is required for this. Each child will get riding time. We have indoor facilities so kids can stay warm and dry! I have 1 spot still available 😊

We only have one more spot on our competition team for the 2023-2024 season! Pictures below is Ellie and she is the horse your child would ride! If you’re interested please pm the page. The team is located in Bluffdale for lessons and practice. Girls on the team will get more ride time than the typical student as well as more hands on experience in all aspects of horsemanship!

Requirements:
💥Ages 13-17
💥Intermediate riding level is a must and non negotiable
💥Student must be able to competently W/T/C off a lunge line
💥friendly and willing personality for the student AND the parent! We have a wonderful team put together this year and I’d like to keep that going 🤣
