Puppies are 3 weeks old today! The runt is at a friends getting extra TLC for a bit. They’re starting to growl at each other and play a little bit.

Getting a lot of interest in the puppies. 99% will not bother me anymore when I send them the price! Weeding out the cheap folks and folks that probably wouldn’t be a good fit for them. Only truly serious people who know good dogs will keep in touch.

Here they are! 2 weeks old today! Got weighed and first wormer given. Starting to get their eyes open. Black ones are boys, silver are girls.

We have puppies! Born Valentines night! Totally unexpected. We thought we had a couple of weeks yet! 8. 2 black boys, 2 black girls and 4 silver girls! Amelia is a fantastic mom. We didn’t have to do anything.

We've got the first chicks of the season hatching out! Hennie's, a type of game chicken. Brett wants to expand his Hennie flock, plus we needed to check fertility. 5 hatched out so far, and they're not even supposed to start until tomorrow!

Sexing the geese. We have 8 females, 5 males, and 2 that escaped the indignity today! lol! Should have lots of eggs, come spring!

Pickled Radish Recipe

fresh radishes 2 cups vinegar, 2 cups water, 3/4 cup salt, 1tbs mustard seed, 1tbs dill. 1 garlic clove. Add dill, mustard seed and garlic to hot jars cut up cleaned radishes and add to jars. Cook water vinegar and salt until boiling and add to the hot jars. Water bath can for 15 minutes. Enjoy 🙂

Shavings are NOT a good idea for an Angora bunny! Found that out the hard way! Poor Vic! We changed out the shavings to a much cleaner bedding, and I combed most of the shavings out of his fur. I will work on it again tomorrow. Vic got a carrot for being such a patient guy with me!

Vic, our new English Angora bunny. Once his fur grows out again, I’ll be able to harvest it. He’s already had it harvested once. He’s such a sweetie!

We had gotten a new flock of sheep a month ago. The two lambs and yearling, went to a friend. We sheared them before they left. Today we finished shearing the rest, and since their quarantine time was up, they joined our old flock in the pasture!

Bought pumpkins on sale at the store the other day. The sheep sure love them! The seeds are a natural wormer, and the meat and rinds are good fiber for them.

Cleaning up the chicken area a bit! We moved the row of bottles. We’ll let this grow up a bit, mow again, then move the IBC tote cages over one row. Give them a new area, let the old area rest and grow back up a bit!

Our first lamb of the season! An ewe lamb. Her dad is Hadley, our Leicester Longwool, mom is Yang, our 1/2 Wensleydale, 1/2 Cormo/Corriedale ewe. This is her first lambing.
