The BlyHS Board announces with great sadness the unexpected and tragic death of employee, Trish Edge. Trish loved all the dogs and cats that came through our shelter and they truly loved her. Please keep the employees, dogs, cats of the shelter as well as her family and friends in your thoughts and Prayers.

Blytheville Humane Society would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!

BHS is a donation based organization, with that being said, we appreciate each and everyone that has helped support in one way or another. Wonderful people that have volunteered to love on our babies throughout this year, those that have donated bedding, pillows, food, and toys. Our amazing transports, that take time and resources to help transport our animals to a rescue, and to our foster families that step in on special / emergency situations. We appreciate every gester big and small!
As the saying goes, "It takes a village" and we truly love our village!

This year every BHS dog and cat will have a special gift(s) and treats. (Thank you to Hallie Brown Crews and Becky Brown for tagging the remaining names left on the tree)

Good boy Elvis came into the shelter scared and unsure. Our amazing BHS worker Judy became his foster momma and helped turn a scared and unsure Elvis into a lovable and playful sweet Elvis!
Today was his day! As hard as it is to watch your foster babies leave, it is so rewarding to know that they find forever homes!

We would like to thank everyone that participated in our Christmas for Cause event. It takes a village to help throughout the year, and Christmas is extra special when every good girl and good boy can have a gift of their very own! We have a few name tags that will be dropped off next week but we would to thank everyone in advance!

BHS Spotlight : TROOPER

Trooper is a gentle, playful 1-1/2 yr old good boy. He is fully vetted, neutered, heartworm negative, and absolutely sweet! He walks calmly on a leash, loves to play fetch, and gets along with everyone. He is very proud of his new trick "sit" and would love to show you how he does it! You could not ask for a better Christmas present than one named Trooper!

(3) Knows command 'Sit"
(4) Kid, Cat, and Dog friendly
(5) Gentle and super handsome 😊

Spending time with them would be the best free Christmas gift, that you could give them! 🥶 It's cold outside, so we can arrange a meet and greet in the warm office! Grab your tagged pet, love on them, show them that there are good humans outside of BHS! Your heart will warm up quickly 😊❤️
🎄 If you would like to tag a pet (or a few), you can drop your gift off at BHS (located on the Air Force Base-2530 Arizona St Blytheville, AR) or one of our employees or wonderful volunteers can pick up for you! A list and photos will be uploaded for Christmas, of your pet(s) thanking you, for thinking of them!!

We enjoyed getting to love on and spend time with this very sweet boy! Mello decided he wanted to run free like a big kid and landed in the hands of BHS. He was pampered, met some new friends, fell in love with some workers, and walked back out of the front door with his mommy lol

This sweet and gentle boy found a family of his very own!
Moon came into BHS scared, under weight, injured, and full of anxiety. He quickly fell in love with the workers, gained some weight, and learned a few new tricks.
We are so excited that he found a home to call his own!❤️🐾

Searching for a fun active family

Great Partnership with Blytheville Animal Services! These two sweet puppies left on transport today. Captain Terri Looney was sweet enough to drive assistant Shelter Manager Trisha Edge and puppies to meet the rescue. They will be adopted out in Gladstone Mo. 💕💕🐾🐾
