We just received a heartfelt plea for assistance in rescuing a high-content large female dog from a shelter in Franklin, Indiana, who is at risk of being euthanized. The sender is facing multiple challenges: they have limited transportation options (only one travel crate and a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was in an accident), and their friend, who is starting a sanctuary, is unable to help due to her vehicle being in the shop as well. They are seeking help from the rescue community to find someone with a vehicle (truck)who can drive them to the shelter, help transport the animal to the new sanctuary, and lend a suitable crate. (Pet Lodge will help with that) The sender is willing to cover gas expenses but is in need of support to save the animal.

Please SHARE, This is a serious situation in schools and should not be happening. And please do not comment “Kids will be kids”because this is far and beyond that!! Every kid handles and processes words, a.k.a. insults, and harassment differently.

Parents, please get your kids in check!!

Schools, teachers, guidance counselors, you need to address these bullying cases when they are brought to your attention. Thank you in advance for explaining to these kids and their parents how serious this is and the “consequences” for there behavior will be.

Explain to them that it’s OK to not be OK and that it’s not necessary to be like someone else. It is NOT OK to bully someone simply because they are different from you!

And by the way, if you’re bullying someone, maybe you’re the one who’s NOT OK…

HELP!!

Needed: computer EXPERT!

Long story short I have computers that use the Microsoft 360 family and somehow when I opened my laptop yesterday morning it now looks like the desktop of one of the other computers and unable to get back to my desktop where all my files are etc. I have computers that are linked sharing files that shouldn’t be and I need help straightening all this out. it would be on site here in Boardman. At Pet Lodge USA Of Boardman, we want to inform you that our pet hotel will be closed today in recognition of the holiday. However, rest assured that our dedicated pack of caregivers will continue to provide exceptional care and attention to all our fur babies throughout the day, just like any other normal day.

Please note that while our lobby hours are closed, our business operations will resume as usual on July 5th at 6:30 AM. So, if you need any assistance or have any inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

You may know our canine companions better than anyone else, but it is important to remember most of us are not medical professionals. If you are uncertain how to treat your dog’s medical needs or if you have any questions, you should contact your veterinarian immediately. It is important to keep the following information in mind with the arrival of summer:

1. Have your dog’s vaccinations updated if necessary. Diseases such as rabies, distemper and parvo are ever-present dangers and necessary precautions should be taken.

2. Beware of insect bites. If your dog is bitten or stung, remove the stinger and watch the site for an allergic reaction. If a reaction occurs or there have been multiple wasp, bee or mosquito bites, take the animal to the vet.

3. Talk with your veterinarian about flea and tick prevention medications.

4. Heartworm is a common problem for dogs. Take your dog to a vet for a heartworm check every spring and follow your vet’s advice for heartworm precautions.

5. Most lawn and garden products may be hazardous. Make sure that plants and fertilizers within the dog’s reach are not toxic.

6. The outdoors exposes dogs to the elements. Dogs may need extra brushing and bathing to stay clean and healthy.

No matter how careful and responsible you may be, accidents can happen. Make sure your vet’s phone number is close at hand and available to all family members.
