Last night was unbelievable at Ballard Elementary School.
When we arrived, we were told over 700 had signed up to attend.
I think they all made it!!
It is so awesome to see the kids hugging on the teacher and the teachers having a good time working the event.
We were so busy we didn't even take pictures..
Hats off to all the staff for their hard work!

Green Turtle Bay is the place to be today!
So many amazing vendors, search and rescue dog, inflatables and our Barnyard Buddies.
We will be here till 3, but many activities will last all day!

Sunday's weather is going to be amazing!
Visit with our Barnyard Buddies from 4 till 8 and stay for a free movie!
Free school supplies will be available also and so many other thing to do while you are visiting!

Who doesn’t like free games and a free movie???
We have partnered with the Calvert Drive-in, the Parks Department and the Marshall County High School Cheerleaders to host a night of fun for our community! There will be some local celebrities in the dunking booth that you can try to send down for a swim, along with lots of games to play. This is a free event but any donations collected will be given to the family resource centers that service Marshall County Schools. The drive-in will have their concession open for anyone who would like to purchase food or snacks. We can’t wait to see everyone!!! Games are from 4pm-8pm and Movie will begin at 9.

To say we had a busy weekend would not even touch the surface.
We worked at Southland Baptist Temple Back To School Saturday morning. That afternoon at our Free Gospel Church Back To School Bash.
Together over 450 backpacks were given to school children.
What a blessing to know God provided the means to help families send their children to school with supplies!

Last week was a tough week for our Barnyard Buddies Family!

With the scare of Mike's chest pains, we also lost a special member of our family.

During Mike's heart cath Thursday, we received a call from my brother in law that Rocko had passed.

Rocko joined us over three years ago and we knew he was an older wallaby who had only been used for breeding.

He looked so scared in that crate at the auction.

He hadn't had much human interaction.

It took about a year of working with him on trust, for him to be comfortable taking food out of your hand and interacting with us.

We know this goes along with working with animals and purchasing older ones.

But even after 25 years, you are never ready.

It gives us comfort knowing his last years were spent enjoyed the company of many children, other visitors, and being one of the favorite animals at Kid's Camp.

We will miss his sweet face and gentle hand touches!!!

He now rest with other members of our Barnyard Buddies Family in the Pastures!

Adventures With Romeo!
He is sweet as the day is long and has an adventurous and free spirit.
He had made his own entrance to the adjoining horse pasture.
He laid by the gate and seemed to smile at you when you came up.
While we worked on the fence yesterday, he want to check out the new fence and give us some advice.
I think really he was planning a new route.
There is never a dull day at Camp Creek Farm!!!

Doctor just came in and said there were small blockage that can be treated with meds.

Update:
Heart cath showed small blockages in the right and left side, which they are going to treat with meds.
Thank you all so much for your prayers!!

We will be postponing Family Fun Night that was scheduled for Friday, July 12th.
Mike is having a heart cath today.
We will reschedule when we have more information from the cath.
Please keep him in your prayers.

Working together is so much fun
and our campers have been doing a great job!
"Leaning a Helping Hand" is a task anyone can do.
I am so proud of these kiddos!

We are so blessed to live in a country with freedoms.
Those who fought for that freedom should not have to relive the days they spent away from love ones going through trauma we can't even imagine.
The sounds of fireworks cause them to relive that trauma and totally frighten animals who should feel safe in their own homes!
Please keep this in mind while you celebrate the freedom they fought for!

Last week was a busy and fun week.
Kid's Camp made shade huts for Rusty the tortoise, along with their regular activities, sharing an 8th birthday with a very special boy, grandkids ballgames, and a birthday event for a special little boy on Sunday.
Our Kid's Camp focus was "Working Together Mades Us Stronger!"
We are so blessed!

Oh My Goodness, it is Friday already.
We had a ball at our first week of kids camp.
Let me tell you how awesome these kids are.
They designed an enclosure, researched the animal to make sure what plants could go in it, mixed the soil, planted the plants and now we have one happy tortoise!
Smiling face that are learning as they are playing and working is a blessing!
Can't wait for week 2.
We have only 2 openings for week 2 left. Message me or give me a call at 270-519-5328.
