With over four decades of veterinary excellence, Dr. Andrew Turkell is the heart and soul of Calusa Veterinary Center. After earning his DVM from Araneta University in Manila in 1979, he moved to South Florida, where he built a legacy of care by founding several animal hospitals before becoming the Partner and Medical Director of our state-of-the-art facility in Boca Raton.

Dr. Turkell’s dedication extends beyond Calusa, as he holds certifications in veterinary acupuncture (CVA), canine rehabilitation therapy (CCRT), and hyperbarics (CHTV). He is also a proud member of AAHA, AVMA, and the American Holistic Veterinary Association.

His love for animals and the community has earned him prestigious awards, including the “Keepers of Life” award for his remarkable contributions to veterinary medicine.
