With the holiday season in full effect, we know that there may be treats on your pet’s wish list. We also know that you are likely tired of the toothbrushing battle. Which is why we recommend dental treats!
Dental treats are a great way to reduce the severity of periodontal disease.

We urge our pet parents to look for the VOHC Seal of Acceptance and to avoid hard treats such as synthetic or natural bones.

The holiday season is now in full swing, which brings excitement, but for male cats, it can also bring extra stress—and with it, a higher risk of Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD).

If your cat seems to be urinating more frequently, straining, or showing signs of discomfort, it could be a sign of FLUTD.

Simple steps like creating a quiet, cozy space or using pheromone sprays, can help reduce stress.

Our clinic is here to help! We can provide a thorough review of your cat’s health and offer guidance on environmental changes to keep them calm. Contact us today!

Thanksgiving Hours:
We will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24th. We will be open during regular business hours on November 23rd and November 25th.

Food Dangers: While we all know people food can often be harmful for our pets; it is especially important to remember this around the holidays. Avoid sharing any sweets or leftovers with your furry best friend. By keeping these potentially toxic foods out of your pet’s reach, you will not only ensure the safety of your pet, but it will help keep the extra pounds off your pet during the holidays. 🦠Leptospirosis is an infection of Lepto bacteria. Found in the urine of infected mice, rats, racoons, skunks and possums, this bacteria gets excreted into the environment.

Dogs are most often infected by drinking from a contaminated water source. The bacteria then targets the liver and kidneys, leading to serious illness and sometimes death.

You can prevent infection with an annual lepto vaccine and booster, good for dogs over 12 weeks old.

Help us spread awareness on the importance of the lepto vaccine by sharing this post!

Just like humans, pets are prone to painful ailments such as osteoarthritis. Pets are great at hiding pain, so it's easy to miss the signs until it gets severe.

Keep an eye out for symptoms like limping, stiffness, or hesitancy to jump or climb stairs. Chronic pain is not just physical but can affect our pets emotionally as well.

OA pain can be managed with safe, effective treatments to improve their quality of life! If you think your pet might be in pain, contact us. Together we can help them feel better.

As they grow into their grey whiskers, we naturally start to worry more about their health. November is National Senior Pet Health Awareness Month, and we are sharing some tips to help our aging pets thrive and live their best lives as they mature!

Do you have a senior pet? Share a photo of them below, we’d love to see them!

Liz, and the kind of Cat we do like, wants to let everyone know that we do plan to CLOSE EARLY on Wednesday, October 9th at 4:00pm. This is to allow our staff to return home safely for the storm. ⛈

We do plan to open regular hours on Thursday, October 10th. (7:30am-6:00pm) If anything does change, as we know storms can be a bit cranky kind of like an Orange Cat, we will update here on our social media.

Please, stay safe! 🐶🐱

Lexi and the very handsome, fluffy Axel want you to know that our clinic will remain open with normal business hours for the remainder of the week.

We do know to take precautions as hurricanes can shift. We ask that you please drive carefully, and if we do decide to close our doors, we'll send an email and post on our social media.

In the meantime, give your dog or cat a nice big, comforting bear hug from us while the storms passes by. 🤗

Feel free to call us with any concerns. (561)997-8090
