Our Dr Meghan Kirkpatrick recently presented to the Helotes 4-H Vet Science group along with our friend and colleague Dr Sarah Israel, and her horse Pearl. She illustrated acupuncture, dentistry, and all things in between! Dr K has the gift of teaching and helping the next generation realize their potential!

It was a sad day at KCVC yesterday as we said goodbye to our beloved cat Edgar. Edgar became part of our family many years ago. He has touched our staff and clients in many ways. He had a knack of knowing when someone needed extra hugs and made his way into many euthanasias to help comfort our clients. He has comforted puppies as he would allow them to stay in his kennel . He found his way into client’s vehicles and they would get home and realize he was in the back seat. No coffee or drink was safe from Edgar as he was found many time dipping his paw and drinking out of all of our drinks 🤣Oh the stories go on…… I’m sure our clients have many Edgar stories too.🥰This cat was special to us and to all of you. Rest easy buddy . We love you.

Welcome Dr. Jordan Jaafar! Dr. Jaafar is a San Antonio native who developed his love and respect for animals on his family’s ranch at a very young age.

He received his BS in Biomedical Sciences and his DVM from Texas A&M University.

Dr. Jaafar enjoys practicing both companion and large animal medicine. His favorite part of the job is developing practical plans and building strong relationships with clients, as veterinary medicine is truly a collaborative effort. He looks forward to meeting you and your fur family!

We will be closing after 3 PM on Sept. 21 due to re-wiring.

We will still have needed staff on-site to care for any boarding and hospitalized patients and we will not be without AC, water or general power. This only affects computer, phone and internet wiring.
