I am available for November and December for pet sitting. I bring my suitcase and stay in your home. I wanted to review my credentials.

I have lived in Boise 30 years. I’ve been in business 10 years. I’m a member of the prestigious organization, Pet Sitters International and am bonded and insured by Pet Sitters Associates. I have a Pet First Aid Certificate. I have a Pet First Aid Kit in my car.

I have added a service of dog massage. I’m learning to massage dogs. I volunteer at the Humane Society and an organization called “Feeding Pets of the Homeless “.

I do not do dog walking. Several years ago I was walking a German Shepherd and a dog crossed the street to attack him. I got between them and tried to separate them. I no longer walk dogs, but I do play ball in the backyard with them.

We can determine if we are a good fit for you, your pets and me with a Meet N Greet. Having said all that, I don’t accept all new clients, it has to be a good fit for me.

My normal fee is $75 a day, but I give discounts for long term sitting to work within your budget.

Can you imagine hiring a cheaper pet sitter and find out on the way to the airport they no-showed???? That won’t happen with me. I’m worth every penny for your peace of mind.

This week, we want to highlight our incredible team of Law Enforcement Victim Witness Coordinators (VWC) who work tirelessly to support victims in Ada County. From April 2023 to April 2024, our dedicated VWCs served 852 victims, including:

- 344 victims of domestic violence
- 140 victims of aggravated battery
- 104 victims of child sexual abuse
- 52 victims of stalking/harassment
- 38 victims of adult sexual assault
- and more.

VWCs are often called to assist victims at the scene of a crime, at the Ada County Victim Services Center, or the hospital, typically in response to felony-level crimes such as domestic violence, aggravated battery, or sexual assault. The level of involvement is up to the victim, and in some cases, these partnerships can last a lifetime.

If a victim wants them to be, our VWCs are there every step of the way—attending interviews, court hearings, providing court updates, and offering resources such as counseling referrals or housing services. They also work to educate the community on teen dating violence.

In addition to serving unincorporated Ada County, our VWCs also serve our contract cities of Kuna, Eagle, and Star.

Each of our VWCs holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or social justice and participates in regular continued education to serve our community.

People are asking if I’m okay and where have I been. I’m a specialist in the local dog scene here in the Treasure Valley and have gone silent this last month. I took a break from Facebook and have been glued to YouTube for the Chad and Lori Daybell trial. He got the death penalty and now I’ve returned to my Idaho Dog Life postings. Happy to report back for all of you who missed me.

Many dollar store dog treats are made with low-quality ingredients, such as fillers, artificial colors and flavors, and preservatives that can be harmful to your pet's health. It is best to look for treats made with natural ingredients like meat, fruits, vegetables, and grains. PawTree Treats are made of solely meats, fruits and vegetables and nothing else!

Pet Food Update: We still believe there is a concerning issue and have over 1400 consumer report surveys plus screenshots of similar symptoms being reported on 3rd party platforms. Symptoms can include diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, vomiting or bloody vomiting, food refusal, lethargy, seizures, itching/hives/rash. Typically corresponds to opening a new bag, box or can of food. Multiple brands have been reported and PawTree has never been subject to a recall.

At this time some veterinarians are only comfortable feeding Human Grade (vs. Feed Grade) ingredients. Our PawTree freeze dried raw beef or chicken or Turkey are all human grade.

We hypothesize we are dealing with a pesticide contamination, however, we do not have lab verification of a specific contaminant at this time. It is a complex issue, and we will not be doing testing until further guidance or information is available on what should be tested for. Necropsies must be done in a specific manner, veterinarians can contact [email protected] for additional information.

If you see something, please report it! Pet food being dumped, thrown away, or discarded in large quantities, groups of wildlife found dead, massive sales, or empty shelves.. if you see something, say something.

If you believe ANY BRAND of pet food is causing or has caused illness or death:⁠
Stop the food immediately.⁠
The FDA is investigating the issue. Report it to the FDA: https://www.fda.gov/animal-veterinary/report-problem/how-report-pet-food-complaint.

Contact your veterinarian. Request a copy of your pet's medical records. Report your concerns to the pet food company.
SAVE THE PET FOOD. Keep the food in original packaging, closed securely, and stored away from pets and people. ⁠

66% of U.S. households (86.9 million homes) own a pet.

Dogs are the most popular pet in the U.S. (65.1 million U.S. households own a dog), followed by cats (46.5 million households) and freshwater fish (11.1 million households).

Millennials make up the largest percentage of current pet owners (33%), followed by Gen X (25%) and baby boomers (24%).[1]
In 2022, Americans spent $136.8 billion on their pets, up nearly 11% from 2021 ($123.6 billion).

Essential dog expenses cost an average of $1,533 annually.

42% of dog owners and 43% of cat owners got their pets from a store, while 38% of dog owners and 40% of cat owners got their pets from an animal shelter or rescue.

In 2022, Gen Xers spent the most on their pets, with an average annual expenditure of $957.44 per household ¹. This is followed by Baby Boomers, who spent an average of $791.26, and Millennials, who spent an average of $724.99 ¹. Gen Z spent the least, with an average of $460.26 per household ¹. However, it's worth noting that Gen Z also saw the largest increase in pet spending from 2021 to 2022, with a 112.6% growth rate ¹.
