Last, but certainly not least, please allow us to introduce Boise Animal Health & Urgent Care's Owner's pets!

As you can see, Walter (the kitty), is not stoked with Lemon (the Norwich), getting near his food... SWIPE to see Lemon and Walter's sister, Gertrude (also known as Gerty) giving us one of her famous looks! You have to be careful with Gerty, for if you wrong her, she WILL hold a grudge against you and she WILL side eye you! Otherwise, this sweet trio loves to go on walks with their hoomans, attempt to use buttons to communicate with their hoomans and take treats from their hoomans! Not a bad gig when your parents are a veterinarian and veterinary technician, huh?!

Today's pet appreciation post goes out to this good 'ol boy, Brutus, whose human is our amazing tech, James!

Brutus boy loves to howl with his mama and bounces like a bunny! He's also a big bed hog and loves to snuggle, so grab your own blanket! He was adopted out of box, which is perfect because he has been such a gift to his family. He also likes to bring you gifts when you walk through the door! What a giving little guy! 🥰

Thor loves to nibble on his loved ones and start wrestling matches with anything that moves! Loki. on the other hand, is the epitome of a man's best friend! He will lay his head on your lap to ask if he can get on the bed with you and his tongue is also too big for his mouth, so he has a small hole in it from a tooth puncture! They are such special babies! ❤

Our next pupper to be appreciated this week is our Practice Manager's dog, Monte!

Monte is a sensitive boy who LOVES love. When mom and dad go in for a hug, he needs to immediately insert himself between them. He's also a big fan of cheese, car rides and butt scratches!

to our beautiful tech, Mady's cat, Stinky ❤

Yes, Stinky is her real name. She was found in a
dumpster and very... well, stinky! Our girl loves to play
fetch, scream at the top of her lungs for attention, and
steal socks from the laundry. She's also an ESA, but if
were being honest, it's more accurate to say that her
separation anxiety makes mom HER emotional support
human! 😂

Today marks the beginning of Pet Appreciation Week! Boise Animal Health & Urgent Care wanted to participate by highlighting one of our pets each day this week to show our appreciation to them!

First up, meet Leonard! Leonard is our wonderful receptionist, Maddy's doggo. He is a master escape artist and opens doors like a human. His favorite activity is sunbathing on his mom's balcony, and he knows ALL his toys by name! Oh yeah, he's also scared of water and praying mantises, so keep those away! 😂

Don't leave your pet in the car! It is critical that we share this information with you as the warmer months approach.

Please keep in mind:
- Young, elderly, overweight, short-nosed and dark-colored coats are all at a higher risk for overheating
- Your car can get 20 degrees hotter than the temperature outside
- Cracking the windows an inch or two may not be enough to keep your pet safe
- Please locate the owner immediately or call the Idaho Humane Society, Animal Control, or 911 if you see a trapped animal!
