Western Riding Club - WRC Boise

Western Riding Club - WRC Boise Western Horse oriented family club. Founded in 1941 located in Boise. Facilities include a club house Membership is $35 individual or $50 family.

The Western Riding Club was founded in 1941 and has celebrated many years of activities and events involving horses, to bring people in the Treasure Valley together to enjoy and promote the sport of western riding. Since then the Club has continued to dedicate itself to joining people together who share the love of horses and horse activities - there is something for everyone. Membership to WRC is

open to all and we encourage anyone with an interest in the sport to take a closer look, or to get involved and become a member. Come join us at our next monthly meeting or contact one of our Officers to find out more! Dues are annual and you must attend a meeting to join. Membership forms are available on our website and meetings are the 1st Monday of every month at 7:30 pm. Message us for more info.

All members that still owe for their 2025 Dues should have just received an invoice via email. You are welcome to pay online, in person, or on the WRC website. If you are wondering what the "shipping charge" for $25 is, it is for the participation fee. WRC has a Non-Participation charge if you do not help at any of our events or participate in a clean up event. If you did participate and you are still showing a fee, please let Kathi Roe know and we can get that adjusted. We are working on an easier way to track participation electronically going forward but for now it is quite manual.

Since we did not have many events in 2024 to participate in and the big one got cancelled, we will give credit for just 1 event instead of the normal 2.

Our next meeting is January 6th with Dinner starting at 6:30 and meeting at 7:30 pm.

Our new Executive Committee will be taking their duties at this meeting, let's show them some support!

WRC is having their annual tack sale at The Mane Event again! It will be on Sept 7th from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. If you have items you would like us to add to the sale, arrange to have them dropped off by 8 am that day or you can drop them off Monday 9/2 at the club meeting 7:00 pm.

The club will man the sale and track and sales made for you. We will not be held responsible for any thefts/loss, but we will work hard to ensure all sales are tracked effectively. The only cost to you will be a 10% commission to help cover our fees/expenses for processing the payments. We will track the sales and provide payment to you within 3 days after the sale, giving us time to recap all the sales.

If you have some extra tack, bring it by and let us sell it for you!
IF you need tack (LOL - we ALL NEED TACK), come on by and see what we have. And of course enjoy the free event. So much going on this year and lots of fun demonstrations!!

Update- FOUND a VENDOR!!

I’m looking for a coffee/beverage truck for The Mane Event 2024. I have never had good luck using the food truck page so just reaching out here to see if anyone I know knows someone.

It’s on Sept 7th and I’d like a truck from 8:30-about 3:00.

We are looking for some volunteers to help out with The Mane Event this year. It is on Sept 7th from 9 am to 8 pm. We have an exciting line up of trainers and demonstrations, the flyer will be out shortly. If you would like to volunteer to help, you do not need to be a member. Just come out and have some fun!

Last minute work party tomorrow (Sat) at 10 am. Meet at the club. We are Real close To having water. There is some easy work and more physical but nothing too hard. Even the dog was helping today!
