🛹✨Zen Time Skateboarding Shenanigans🛹✨

Training with a positive attitude and controlled distractions helps dogs stay focused while building their confidence and obedience! In this video, our trainers use a skateboard to add a fun challenge while teaching dogs to remain on place. The key is to keep the atmosphere upbeat, reinforcing calm behavior even when distractions arise. Keeping exercises lighthearted and silly for both dogs and their trainers helps to builds trust, enjoyment, and relaxation into every training session.

What does Zen Time look like at AK9? Teaching "place" is one of the best ways to encourage calmness and good behavior in our canine companions. This skill can be especially valuable during busy times when guests visit or family activities are happening. Relaxing on their "place" teaches our dogs self-regulation and impulse control, which are key to well-behaved, confident pets. When a dog can manage their emotions and impulses by staying calm instead of jumping, pawing, or barking, they are better able to handle everyday distractions and stressors.
