Our sweet girl Freyja is not handling her new life well. She was sadly surrendered with her sister when her owner couldn’t physically take care of her anymore. She was doing ok with the help of her canine sister, but sadly her sister took a turn for the worst and now Freyja is alone. She spends her days pacing, crying and stressed, looking for her family again. She’s incredibly sweet, but to see her heart so broken is breaking ours. Freyja is 8 years old and has a lot of love and life left to give, she just needs someone to take a chance at giving an old girl another chance at a family. If you don’t have room in your home for this darling lady, please share- she so desperately wants to be home again!

Our team at the Naperville Animal Humane Society recently met an attractive eight-year-old senior black pit. I noticed today that Zane is still hanging out at the sheltee Although he is a senior, he has a substantial amount of energy and loves walks and playtime. Zane requires a home where he can be the center of attention, without other pets competing for his caregivers' affection. Recognizing that adoption is a significant decision, we suggest fostering as an option for those who are unsure. The shelter assumes all expenses, requiring only your time and love, which will be returned manifold by the animal. As part of our monthly outreach initiatives, we are visiting a local shelter with healthy treats and showcasing adoptable dogs. MEET Beatrice, a lovable 5-month-old puppy who is a total love bug. She will blossom in a home with a family prepared to dedicate their time to training and nurturing a puppy. She is ready for adoption; however, she is not yet potty trained. She is remarkably friendly and bright with so much love to give and is ready for a lifetime of adventure with her new family. We met the most incredible senior dog yesterday at Wags to Wishes. His bane is Marley and he is 13 years old. He thrives on affection and snuggled perfectly in Heather’s arms. I am going to miss seeing Larry’s face. His refusal to come in the house and that adorable back talk. John rescued Larry from a pack of coyotes announcing him King of the Misfits. Run free and wild Larry! Tully’s Treats will be honoring Larry by featuring a senior dog each month from a loc shelter in Larry’s name. He was a special boy and we were lucky John chose to share him with us. Let’s keep his legacy alive by adopting or fostering a senior dog. All in Larry’s name.
