Because we feel it is our due diligence to share:

This time of year is notorious for parvovirus amongst puppies, however, this year we feel we are seeing far more than usual. Here are a few tips to help minimize risks in your pups:

-Keep your pup in their own environment (home and yard) until they are fully vaccinated. This means NO public outings or play dates until they have had all of their vaccines.

- Most puppies should have 3-4 rounds of vaccines from the approximate ages of 6 weeks to 20 weeks. We understand all pups have different background and are always happy to discuss a vaccine plan that is safe and works for your puppy! If you ever have ANY questions regarding vaccine protocols please do not hesitate to reach out.

- Parvovirus is highly contagious. It can be spread by direct contact with another dog, and/or can live in the environment for a long period of time. Even YOU can spread parvo unknowingly. Keep in mind puppies may not initially show signs!

- If your puppy is experiencing any lethargy, decreased appetite, vomiting, or diarrhea, please seek veterinary attention as soon as possible as this can be a life threatening virus.
