This dog was spotted in the Briarwood Subdivision in Bolivar (across Hwy D from the Primary School). The person that spotted the dog said it was next to the highway and then retreated into the neighborhood but was limping. Anyone know where it belongs? It is not contained, so owner will need to get it. Hopefully lives in the neighborhood.

Welcome to March! What a beautiful day to adopt a pet. Polk County Humane Society will have puppies and kittens at PetSmart on Glenstone in Springfield, MO. They will be there waiting for their special person to show up and take them home. 10a-2p. Puppy adoption fees reduced from $300 to $275. And, kittens are $125. Adult cats $95. All neutered/spayed, vaccinated and treated with flea/tick preventions and dewormed. Come find your new BFF!

Ethel is a playful and sweet girl with a bubbly personality. She knows no stranger and as you can see is the best couch dog.

We recieved a message about this mama dog who just had 10 babies last night. 5 of the puos are smaller and don’t seem to be latching onto mama. Would anyone be able to bottle feed them?

Valentine’s Day +1 - it’s never to late for love. We have a bunch of cutie puppies and 14 of them will be at the PetSmart on Glenstone in Springfield, MO, tomorrow, Saturday, 2/15, from 10a-2p. They are sweet little ones hoping for their chance a true love.

From the Merritt Family: “Thank you for letting us borrow Penelope for the afternoon! She is so obedient and good-natured. We walked around at Dunnegan Park and SBU and got a pup cup from DQ on the way back to the Humane Society. We’d love to do it again!”

Kevin has been at our shelter for 735 days…

Kevin is a 4 year old German Shepherd mix (check out DNA results in his profile). He’s had a rough start in life and most of his background is unknown as he arrived as a stray. He has his quirks but is highly trainable and willing to learn if someone would put in the effort. 💪

Kevin loves car rides, playing in the water, and of course any treats! He needs a home without other animals or young children. He is a social butterfly and loves every person he meets! 🦋

Today, Kevin got to be the first dog to test out our new “Dog Day Out” program! We hope this program is able to give our shelter dogs a break from the daily stress of the kennels.
