Huge thank you for all the support that made this year’s ride possible for me! Headwinds and hills today. Lost half my gears for 15 miles. Made a pit stop quick fix on the derailer at a shop along the route. Lots of great adventures were had by all !

My dad’s sweet girl Baby crossed the Rainbow bridge yesterday. Baby started with me as a foster 12 ish years ago, but that did not last long. One weekend early on I dropped her off with my dad so I could take the weekend off and well when I went to pick her up he would not give her back because he declared her his. She lived an amazing long life. Saying good bye is so hard because dogs give us so much.

I want to thank my clients who were so supportive this week. I had to cancel some daycare and reschedule some grooms. I have been feeling very run down this week with hay fever allergies and then Thursday night and Friday I needed to help support my dad through this difficult time of saying good bye to an amazing dog that was so very special to us. As you all know saying good bye is physically and emotionally exhausting. I’m grateful to all of you!

Happy 4th of July! Today the trails were stunning. Iowa is so beautiful this time year! Iowa trail systems are amazing and I’m so thankful to live so close to many of them. I can think of no better way to celebrate freedom today than to get out there and ride my bike. Tonight’s ride was spectacular. Thanks to everyone who is on this bike journey with me. I’ll continue shamelessly posting pics of me and my bike leaning on stuff.

Whelp it’s been a wild week already tornados and storms had us all on edge but the dogs are feeling great despite the storms. Yesterday we had all dogs inside the interior brick room to be certain our best friends were safe from the storms. Today we rejoice in the sunshine 🙂 ☀️
