Pet licensing can feel like just an "added" expense, but this tiny investment is so much more powerful
than you think — for you, your pet, and for the animals in your community. Here’s why:
🐾 It’s the law, and the license fee is cheaper than the fine you may be subject to if you don’t license.
🐾 It helps your pet and others make it home safely.
🐾 When more pets are licensed, they can be quickly identified if lost which means they take up little
to no space in shelters.
🐾 Local animals in need get the care (and hope for a furever home) they deserve when shelter space
is opened up due to more identifiable and licensed pets.

Some tips on keeping your pets safe and secure during firework shows.

Loud blasts, pops and whistles from Fourth of July fireworks are often terrifying to pets and may cause them to panic and run, putting them at risk of getting lost, injured or worse. County Animal Services is reminding you to keep your pets safe, calm and secure on Independence Day.
