Corgi lovers! This sweet boy is 3 years old and fully vetted. He’s about 25’ish pounds. He loves people and kids but he’s not a fan of other dogs. He has never been around cats.
Silver would make a great family pet as the only dog. He’s kennel trained and house trained. He doesn’t like his nails clipped and when going to vet today, was terrified at the vet. Otherwise, this boy is great. If you’d like if to adopt or know more about him, please email me at [email protected]

We have traps set for this dog seen traversing Kansas Avenue from 132nd to 138th Street as well as the Deerfield, Lei Valley, and 134th/Pioneer neighborhoods.

We need your help to get her safely captured.

Please DO NOT leave any food out for her! She needs to be hungry in order to show interest in the food in the trap.

DO NOT call out to her or try to capture her. She is extremely afraid and will run away.

Wonderful news for this BAR alumni! 🥰

We have some BIG news to share!

Back in September we noticed that Ilene wasn’t feeling very well, so we scheduled a visit with our friends at Animal Care Clinic (Shawnee, KS). After some bloodwork and tests, Dr. Boaz delivered the tough news that our Ilene had FIP, a rare and serious disease caused by feline coronavirus.

The next several weeks were hard on Ilene and our staff as we provided her with round the clock supportive care while waiting for the medicine to take effect and ease her symptoms. Luckily, Ilene responded well to the medication and after several weeks she began to feel much better, often hiding from us when it was time for her meds. 😼

Today Ilene saw Dr. Boaz for her final checkup and we are so happy to report that she has a clean bill of health and is cured of the FIP!

We want to thank Dr. Boaz, all of the staff at Animal Care Clinic in Shawnee, Bonner Animal Rescue, Inc. for sponsoring Ilene’s vet bills, and to all of the staff at the Bonner Springs Police Department for ensuring Ilene got her medicine twice a day for 3 months, no matter how much she protested.

To help celebrate Ilene beating FIP, she has requested Tiki can cat food and Churu treats, which she is now convinced she cannot live without. 😺

This morning we received several reports of a stray dog eating a deer carcass on the shoulder of K7 between Nettleton and Kansas Ave. We arrived just in time to see the dog scurrying off into the woods east of K7. We immediately baited and set a trap nearby and were able to capture the dog in a matter of minutes.

The dog is a neutered male brindle and white pitbull mix. He is not wearing a collar or tags and is not microchipped.
