We are a family oriented club that strives to promote the interest in all breeds of horses through educational programs, horse shows, and events.

A couple of members will be at the club grounds today around 12 with horses if any one wants to ride. Non member fee is $25 per horse.

Very close scoring with the adult riders - there was only a 1 point difference between 2nd and 3rd place!

Just a few reminders for !
If you are planning to attend the challenge, please reach out and let us know - We are filling up fast and do not want parking to become an issue!!! It will also help us plan on the number of people we are feeding as well.
Friday campers are welcome after 5 PM CST Friday evening. Camping is primitive, port a potty and water is available. All corrals have been reserved, people are welcome to bring their own portable pens or High Tie.
Saturday morning registration will begin at 8 AM and close at 9 so we can try to stay on schedule!
Costume class to immediately follow the challenge and the Halloween party will start at 6 PM in the clubhouse - costume is optional, we never get too old to have a good time!
Remember we are here to simply have FUN!

Just a reminder for everyone!
With the preparations for the upcoming obstacle challenge and Halloween party on Saturday, the club grounds will not be available for public use until next week.
If you have not registered for the challenge we strongly suggest you do so we have an idea of how many people we are feeding! The event link is on our page.
We look forward to seeing you all at the challenge. Your support is what keeps this small club open for future generations to enjoy like so many of us have over the last 70 years!

The forecast looks fantastic for the weekend of the Spooktacular Obstacle Challenge and Halloween Party! Make plans to join us for an entire weekend of fun!
The deadline to pre register to take advantage of the discounted entry fee of $40 is tomorrow, Friday Oct 18th at 6PM. Still undecided if you can attend? Don’t worry we will sign people up until 9AM the day of the challenge!

Due to conflicting schedules for our members, we have decided to postpone the Annual Trail Ride for the upcoming weekend. New date will be determined soon!

The October meeting will be held on Friday Oct 4th at 7 PM CST
Our Annual Trail Ride will be held on Saturday Oct 5th at Mammoth Cave National Park. We will ride out of Maple Springs around 9am. Everyone is welcome to join us!
If you would like to camp out at the club grounds Friday and Saturday night, please let me know so we can plan accordingly!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our obstacle challenge yesterday! The fun continues today with a trail ride at Mammoth Cave. We will post the placings this evening when we wrap up the day. We have over 3000 pictures to sort through so it will take a few days to get pictures up for everyone!

The countdown is on - the fun begins in 8 days! Just a reminder for everyone, you can pre register/pre pay to save money. Prepaid entries are $40 and must be paid by 8 PM on Saturday September 14th. Fee at gate is $50.

The Silver Spur Saddle Club has been bringing horse people and families together for 70 years! While we may not be fancy, we do know how to put the ‘U’ in FUN! Over the years the club has done a lot of things - fun shows, trail rides, clinics, ranch sorting, obstacle challenges and sometimes just getting together for potlucks, bonfires and good times! We welcome all people, breeds and disciplines so come on out and join us for some family fun!
The Silver Spur Saddle Club is probably one of the oldest active saddle clubs in Kentucky. Established in 1954, the club grounds were purchased in 1969 and the members built a log cabin to serve as the clubhouse. Over the years the porches, kitchen, arena and lighting were added. The planned improvements will ensure this club will still be an active part of our community for many years to come!

Blessed to have such a great crowd for the Obstacle Course and cookout today. Thank you, everybody for helping set the arena and putting Jeff’s visions together. Come on out!

Several of our members have been working hard on a trail behind the Clubhouse. This short trail will keep you busy on a variety of terrain to help you and your horse become comfortable experiencing the trails before you take a big adventure! Hills, rocky cliffs, wooded area with a creek, there will be several obstacles to encounter while taking a short ride. A perfect way to give exposure to an inexperienced horse or rider!
