Cold weather reminder ❄️
As the outdoor temperatures starts to drop, cats will hide under car hoods for protection and warmth. Use caution when you start your car in the cold winter month ahead. If cats are left outside, they may climb under the car hood. Before you climb into the car, slap the hood or open it for a quick look around ❤️

Luke was found after being dog napped from our foster family in June with defense wounds, ribs showing, scared of affection, skittish, and fearful. However, we had him fixed up by our kind veterinarian in Costa Rica, where he now has completely recovered and has little to no scarring. His demeanor has improved and returned to his old jolly/loving self. Check out other post to see his post recovery photo!

Our street dogs in Costa Rica are thriving and healthy. Thank you for the support from this amazing community.

Luke (black dog with tongue out) gets neutered tomorrow morning!
Kelly (golden and black dog) was able to get spayed in May, she healed up beautifully.

It has been a long and hard journey but the puppy love and appreciation from them has made it all worth it.

Wow has Oregon been the greatest thing!!! Such an amazing summer! So many amazing animals and places for growth and learning at this pre vet internship

While working on my Vet Tech degree over the summer I have also been able to work with countless squirrels, song birds, birds of prey, skunks, raccoons, and foxes in our clinic. Infant to adults. Then have been able to work with our large variety of ambassadors (permanent resident animals) which range from all over. There are bears, wolves, otters, lizards, snakes, eagles, falcons, etc.

I LOVE IT HERE. All the animals make me not want to leave.

Update:
Odie is adopted and happy! We do not need anymore donations. Thank you everyone☺️❤️.

He will have a good recovery. He has 3 major fractures on his hip with some trauma on his bladder.😢💔

The surgery would be $1k which we cannot afford unfortunately. So instead we were told he will be in a doggy wheel chair temporarily or need some assistance BUT then have a good, happy, life with just some walking troubles.

Quick Update: At the vet now getting exam and X-ray. Lil guy (who we are calling Teddy) made it through the night, but had black urine and can’t walk. He is surprisingly Pura Vida and is alert with tail wagging.

Thanks to y’all, I’ve raised $195, but this diagnostic visit costs $130. I will keep you posted on cost of treatment.

This sweet baby boy was sadly hit by a car this morning💔😢and needs serious medical attention!

After taking him to the vet, with just a examination we were told that he has a broken hip, and maybe a ruptured bladder. There is no known major damages causing it to be necessary to put him down yet

BUT he cannot walk or use the bathroom on his own, and unfortunately he has a good bit of blood in his urine.

🥺 We don’t want him to suffer any more… but we cannot afford it on our own. 🐾🙏🏼 We need an X-ray to find out the extent of his injuries.

Surgery and other treatments will be kinda expensive but it’s Costa Rica prices so it should be much more achievable with donations. 🇨🇷🙏🏼

He doesn’t have a home or a family, he needs help!

Holidays with fireworks cause lots of loud noises, which can cause dog anxiety. Learn how to keep your dog calm during fireworks.

This is Finnley
He’s 1 of the 2 week old puppy’s I have been helping🐶
He is the runt of the litter and has a hard time eating. Even though he’s smaller than all his siblings, his personality is huge🥰😍!! He loves to cuddle all night and really enjoys his naps. 😴💤🐾

We are on our way to his first vet visit to find out why he hasn’t gained weight in days🥺He currently is on formula🍼because he won’t eat and is being put on medicine.
