TTC Closure

The past few weeks since mom’s passing have been a whirlwind of emotions. There has been an abundance of wonderful memories and stories from the past but also a lot of thought forward to what the future holds as a new normal for life on the farm.

After days & weeks of discussion and thought, the decision has been made to close Thoroughbred Training Center, LLC (TTC).

This decision does not come easy. TTC has been a part of McCashin daily life since 1973.

52 years of providing for the horse, horse owner, and horse community.

As we move forward, Mary McCashin Horsemanship and Cornerstone Farm/Kathi Hines will continue to operate on the property as well as Cana Land & Farm.

To everyone who has ever attended a horse show, boarded a horse, made a tack shop purchase, or simply enjoyed TTC, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing Mom & Dad’s dream to become a reality.

Due to the cancelation of the show we planned to attend, this Saturday will be a designated make-up day. If you already know of any days you'll miss for the SEMESTER, please get a make-up scheduled. If you would like an extra drop in lesson as well.

We are already experiencing make-up problems. As I explained in our policy, this year has more students needing the later slots of 5 and 6. I also explained that make-ups will occur if and when slots are available and that it is possible that a make-up will not occur. The options for makeups for the school year are- cancellations, different instructor and designated lessons on Saturdays, private or group depending on availability. We can no longer accommodate makeups at the students convenience. If one of the options is offered and cannot attend, the lesson will not be made up..Please understand this. There is simply nothing we can do with our full schedule.

Not a bad final show for Larisa and Evy. She'll be leaving for College in two weeks so probably no more Sedgefield at the Park shows for awhile. She has been invited to tryout for the team at SCAD in Savannah so if she makes it, she'll be showing with them in Florida. She and Evy have done really well in the jumpers this year. We love Carolina Horse Park down in the sandhills part of NC.
