Easter Lillies are extremely poisonous to cats, and just 1-2 leaves or the pollen can be lethal. If your cat nibbles on a lily or drinks water from the vase, seek veterinary care immediately!

🏡*Looking for a home*🏡

We have 2 long term boarders here with us. Unfortunately, their owner became ill and ended up passing away. With no other family close to take them in they are now in need of a new home. Up to date on all shots and will be neutered at no cost if anyone would like to take them in.

Bevo (red/white) - 4yr Male (dog aggressive, recommend only dog in household)
Odie (black/tan) - 4yr Male (can be dog aggressive)

🦷 “Studies at the Veterinary Collages of Ohio State and Cornell have found 85% of dogs and cats over 6 years of age have some form of dental disease.” (1)

🦷 There are multiple factors that can lead to dental health issues in our pets! They range from diet types, poor oral hygiene and even genetics.

🦷 It is important to keep up with your pets oral health as infections in the mouth can lead to heart, lung, liver and even skin infections. (1)

🦷 Take a peek in your pets mouth to see if they may need a dental cleaning!

🦷Did you know? 🦷

Horses are hypsodont animals meaning their teeth continually erupt through their lives and get worn down through grinding up their feed! 🐎

Domesticated horses don’t spend nearly as much time foraging as their ancestors. This means they can have overgrowth of the tooth edges leading to sharp points that can cause pain or ulcers in the mouth.

This why it is important to keep up with routine dental care and floats for your horses on a regular basis.

“Mouse” came in this morning to see if she was pregnant. She was found to have a 2 month old fetus! Here you can see it’s rear end with its legs up! 🥰

‼️Fleas‼️

Did you know?

🙀 Severe flea infestations can be fatal due to anemia; especially in small and young animals.

🙀Fleas can survive inside and outside!

🙀Fleas can transmit intestinal parasites to your pet, such as tapeworms.

It is recommended to have your pet on monthly prevention such as oral chews Bravecto or Nexgard or topicals such as Frontline or Revolution. In addition, treating the environment is crucial in keeping fleas at bay.

🦟❤️ What is heartworm disease? ❤️ 🦟

🪱 Heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis) is a parasite that lives in the heart and pulmonary arteries of an infected dog.
🪱It is transmitted by infected mosquitoes. When the mosquito bites an animal, the larvae are injected into the skin and then migrate into the bloodstream where they mature into large worms.
🪱 Symptoms of heartworm disease are coughing, lethargy, difficulty breathing, exercise intolerance and even death.

🦟With the recent rainfall and moisture, mosquitoes are abundant. If your pet is not on monthly or yearly prevention they are at risk for this infection.

There are several options for prevention ranging from monthly oral chews to year long injections. If your dog has never been on these medications, testing and beginning prevention is recommended.
