Thank you Bossier City Animal Control for stepping in to assist in this huge hoarder/breeder nightmare. BCAC took in multiple dogs including a momma dog and nursing pups. It takes a village and a lot of teamwork to handle a mass hoarding situation such as this. Note: No animals were euthanized to make space for the incoming.

2. RESCUES: DO NOT WAIT IF YOU ARE A 501c3 RESCUE WANTING TO PULL! If you would like to tag and pull a pet, please message our page for pull details. You must be a reputable 501c3. If you do not hear from us in a timely manner, please contact the shelter at 318-741-8499.
3. ADOPTION: DO NOT WAIT if you are looking to adopt. It is BEST to go to the shelter in person. If you are DRIVING LONG DISTANCE to look at a specific animal? Call the shelter first before you start your journey.
4. BCAC cannot guarantee health, temperament, potty trained or whether or not they are good with other dogs/cats/children. In a shelter environment, dogs and cats are subject to having been exposed to upper respiratory infection or some other communicable disease.
5.. BUDDIES page has zero tolerance for any negativity, hate speech, harassment or any comments or language that are not aligned with the purpose of this page and the promotion of the animals of BCAC.

You must be pretty darn special to be sponsored by someone willing to pay your adoption fee. Star IS that special, but she continues to be overlooked... DAY AFTER DAY! Is it because of her age? She is an older gal at 8 years old, but they make the BEST pets! Star is heartworm negative and will be spayed before adoption. She gives paw when you ask and she probably knows other stuff too! Please give her a chance. What have you got to lose... except maybe your 🩷.

Cristal visited the shelter on Saturday and here’s what she said about this sweetheart! … and she is spot-on!

“He’s one I visited Saturday … & he is pure sweetness. 😍💕♥️ Smiles sooooo big while everyone else was barking at us so I knew so wanted to give him some time outside with us.

He knows how to sit and give his paw also. He just literally never stops looking at you like he loves you. 😅♥️♥️♥️ He will walk and or jog beside you on a leash like a champ. Perfect size of dog too. Somebody take this baby boy home & love him ♥️♥️♥️♥️”

-URGENT RESCUE NEEDED - CANCER
Reaux Meg went to the vet to be spayed. When they opened her up, she had what the vet suspected to be cancer of the ovaries. She did get spayed while under. BCAC would prefer she goes to rescue to further assess her status. She's a sweet BIG girl that deserves a chance. She has had many litters in her life and then finds herself at a municipal shelter. It's not fair. Please contact or tag rescues that you think may be able to help her. If you are a rescue and want to pull this girl or find out more information, please contact BCAC or reach out to this page.
