Finally was able to come up with enough money for possums vet appointment to determine what to do about his lump on his shoulder and his weak back legs. After blood tests, it was confirmed that possum has been suffering from the disease known as Insulinoma, this is when a tumor in the pancreas constantly releases insulin which leads to severely low blood sugar. Possums was so low it was shocking that he was able to move at all. We now have him on prednisone 2 mg twice a day to treat his insulinoma and he has been doing better than ever. He climbs, runs and even plays with toys now.

His lump is still undetermined whether it’s benign or malignant so I have decided to go through with surgery on removing it. The surgery in full costs around 250. This includes being able to have the abscess sent off and studied to determine if it is indeed cancerous or not and if it could have possibly spread anywhere else. 140 has been set aside so far for the surgery but if anyone wants to donate to possums surgery please comment below. All donations go to my little old man❤️

Hey everyone! Just wanted to update that my rescue is still up and running! I have had a lot of personal issues and between that and my ferret rescue I had no time for social media. I also got logged out of my facebook account of about 6 years, therefore I was not able to respond to any messages or post any updates about my rescues. I am still working on fully recovering my account but for now the update is 2 of my ferrets possible have cancer. A vet appointment is scheduled Wednesday with a specialist that I used to work for. Updates will be posted from here on out but please be patient with me as I try and sort everything out. Thanks!

Possum today….. he plays with the others but not for long and not as much. He has limitations due to his abscess on his shoulder and his age 😔 vet appointment is being scheduled for both possum and Eleanor tomorrow!!! Pictures will be posted along with what is to come for both babies❤️ depending on the needs of both babies will depend on the need for donations. If possum really does have cancer….…. The cost only goes up! But praying his bump can be healed with medicines!!❤️‍🩹

So I know this is a ferret rescue but I can never turn down any animal in need! This little guy has low calcium deficiency basically and this causes him to have a bendy and almost fabricated shell. (Turtle shells are supposed to be hard fyi) so i took him to the vet and i am currently giving him calcium drops and multivitamin drops to help strengthen his shell!

Just an update: two ferrets should be arriving within the next week, one needing medical attention! Soon, donations will be accepted to be put towards the baby’s medical expenses and updates on the ferrets upon their arrival will be posted as well! Have a nice week everyone!

Luve Ferret Rescue runs solely on donation and love for animals, especially ferrets. Local shelters are dog and cat focused. Therefore, unwanted ferrets are discarded in other cruel ways. This includes being let loose outside or even being put down. The goal of my rescue is to take the ferrets people no longer want or can no longer handle and nurture them while also preparing them for their new forever home. Due to experience and space, I am able to start this journey and save many little lives. I want to highlight my mom, Alicia Toms and my boyfriend, Zach King for helping me start this journey and supporting my "crazy" wants and dreams.
