Sunday recap🤩🤩
Yesterday I hauled two special girls and myself to go run barrels!! We had a blast!!

I’ve been teaching my main lesson girl, Avery for about a year now if not longer! Yesterday she won her very first check on her own horse named Kat! I remember when I started teaching her we were just learning the basics of Barrel Racing and how to control our horse with different speeds back at 7HR!
Now look at her!! 🥹🥰

Story behind everyone’s favorite lesson horse!!

I’ve had Badger for 15 years now! He used to help break the younger horses and pony them on our training track in order to prepare them for their racing career! 🏇
He also helped start my career in barrel racing back in 2016! He’s even won a buckle from barrel racing with me in 2018!
In 2018-2020 I used him to goat ty off of and ran flags all at Ringgold Riding Club!
Whenever we get a chance we go to ranch sorting and Badger is always ready to chase a cow!
This summer we started learning how to breakaway rope that is another event that women are able to compete in rodeo!

So just know the horse you’re taking lessons on has literally done it ALL!!🤩🤩🐴🐴

It’s not all riding and fun here!! There’s off days that require to be work days of fixing boards for the fences to keep these critters in!!

Lately it’s been baby Meadow who’s getting out more often then the others!!🙄😅🐎🥰

This morning I had the pleasure of meeting a new lesson girl!!
Hazel has such a sweet soul! Her and Badger got along great and for her first time to ride she literally exceeded all of my expectations !!

So recently I switched brands of sports boots for my horses!
Top Hand Brand is now my absolute favorite! I remember years ago when they first came out, I was interested in trying them but now it’s safe to say I will never switch to another brand other then THB!

I’m so extremely blessed! I’ve been working so hard with Streak to pass our second barrel! We spent some time this week working on that one barrel. ⚡️15.2⚡️
Tonight it definitely paid off!! I’m just so happy to be doing what I love on a horse I’ve worked so hard to have! 🙏💕

Having our support team by our side makes everything better!!💗

My students get the chance to come watch me in action in the arena!
Some of them have never seen such sights like the most, they get to learn more when they come to watch me ride.

They see the importance of all the little things that we practice at home on the lesson horse or when we do our practice around the pattern.
Seeing my horse and I run full speed I example how it all comes together when we practice slow.

We had a wonderful evening yesterday for lessons! ☀️

Badger and Miss Zoey had a little trail ride around the farm. She rode in her mom’s old saddle! How awesome!!

The girls helped with chores; feeding, brushing, putting up all our tack, and giving out hay.

It’s safe to say they are looking forward to our next lessons!!♥️🤩

Streak got worked on yesterday by the chiropractor!
He was a well behaved gentleman!!

I can already tell a difference just from lunging him in the round pen!🐎

Streak figuring out his new job! Poles are still new to him but we are continuing to take them slow. He clocked a 29 for a smooth cruising this past Friday night!

We introduced Cory’s horse Stepping Outonher a.k.a. Steppin to a new world the other day, the western world 🤠

Steppin is an Off the track Thoroughbred but now he’s retired because of a slight bowed tendon.

This was his FIRST trip away from home that wasn’t to the racetrack! He handled everything so good you probably wouldn’t have known it was his first time the the arena! 🐴♥️🙏
