Happy Holidays from Fern Hollow Farm! We have some winter clinics and a trail-clearing day coming up and would love to have you.

December 31st, 2-5 PM: Medals Workshop
Are you interested in learning how you can improve your equitation, and place in medal classes this season? If so, this workshop is for you. This clinic includes a lecture, demonstrations, and riding. Open to Current Fern Hollow Farm clients only.

January 11th, 10 AM- 1 PM: Trail Clearing Day

January 25th, 10 AM-1 PM: Strength & Fitness for Riding
Strength and fitness greatly impact your effectiveness as a rider. Learn how your strength and fitness are holding you back and how you can improve your riding position and overall riding. This clinic includes both work on the ground and riding. Open to Current Fern Hollow Farm clients only.

This last weekend was the last show of the 2024 show season for Fern Hollow Farm. We want to thank all of our participants, students, parents, and supporters for an amazing season. The last 5 weeks have been busy, with 4 show weekends out of 5 and we have had a blast! Happy Holidays, we can't wait for more in 2025!

We are in search of a new team member at Fern Hollow Farm a Hunter/Jumper Barn in the Ellenboro/Bostic area. The job includes:
- Mucking out stalls
- Turn out
- Feeding
- Refilling waters
- Blanketing in winter
Ideal candidates have experience with:
- Handling young horses
- Basic equine first aid
- Basic farm maintenance

Horse experience or experience working with animals is helpful, but not required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, be physically capable of working outdoors, and have your own transportation.
Compensation: $12-$15/hour

Hours are 8 AM to noon and 2 PM to 6 PM.

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SATURDAYS REGULARLY, schedule will include about 10-20 hours a week, however, we are willing to adjust and work with an ideal candidate to make it work.

Our summer clinics so far have been a success! We have two more clinics coming up in the next month, check them out below, and come and join us!

July 25, 2-5 PM: Braiding/Mane Pulling

Cost: $45/1st family member, $35/2nd family member

During this clinic, you can learn how to correctly pull manes and braid. You will be given basic instruction, and have the opportunity to practice both mane pulling and braiding. If you already know how to braid, this can also serve as a reminder and practice session to prepare for summer and fall shows.
**Available to the public, advanced sign-up up required

August 18th, 1-4 PM: Strength and Flexibility in Riding Position

Cost: $60/1st family member, $50/2nd family member

This clinic will help students understand how their strength and flexibility are impacting their riding position and control of the horse. It will include strength and flexibility work on the ground, followed by a group riding class that will help students understand how they can improve their position to be more competitive in equitation classes and more effective in riding.

July 30th through August 1st Beginner Camp is the perfect opportunity for kids to learn the basics of riding. No horse or riding experience is required.

Available to riders who are 6 years of age and up, the camp will run from 9 AM to Noon daily. Students will learn grooming, leading, tacking, and basic horsemanship principles. Each day students will ride every day of camp, learning riding basics such as steering, walking, trotting, and pole work.

Total cost: $250.00
