Swissies go to Manhattan.

Last weekend Steve and Alice were part of AKC Meet the Breeds in NYC. With over 17,000 visitors on each day, the dogs were a hit with everyone they met. We had a chance to answer questions such as “do they shed a lot?” “are they good with kids?” “how are they different from the Bernese mountain dog?”

The dogs loved the city and loved all the attention they got while there!

💕 All of my puppies are settled in with their new families, adjusting to their new life. Sometimes I wonder if they think about their litter mates or “how things used to be” or do they just live in that moment. Well, there’s one last puppy who is finally getting settled in at home. This morning my pink girl joined me and my pack and headed home to Massachusetts. I’m so excited to start working with her and getting her ready to show. This puppy is so confident, inquisitive, fearless, and beautiful I can’t wait to watch her blossom. From the bottom of my heart a huge thanks to my mom Deborah for raising this litter while I transitioned from Hawaii, to 3 different locations in Massachusetts. Thank you to Megan Fletcher Westenmeyer for having faith in me and letting me use Casey for this breeding. To John and Sally Baffa for also letting me use Casey and chauffeuring him around when we needed him and missing shows to make this breeding happen. Thank you Rick Blanchard for all your efforts to get appointments made for this breeding and being the voice for me while I was gone at work. Thank you for all your mentoring, answering a million questions, and studying pedigrees with me. Thank you to Jenna Starr for trusting me with Alice and supporting me in this breeding. 💛 And just like that, They’re gone. I nicknamed this puppy “Birdie” because of her bright yellow collar. Little birdie got an extra week in the nest as she waited for her new parents to travel to New England for a wedding and to pick up their addition. She strolled the streets of Boston with us yesterday and had one last snuggle with momma Alice last night. She flies to Florida today and will soon be a beach bum like her uncle Steve. I wish you the happiest life little girl!!

💙 The only boy of the bunch made it to his new family in Massachusetts. The Ludwig family had their heart set on a male because their son already had a name picked out for his future puppy. There won’t be any shortage of fun in this puppy’s future. With a new puppy and a brand new baby, Sara couldn’t have picked out a more appropriate registered name for their new family member.

🧡 Our first puppy left the nest. I could not have have picked a sweeter more perfect family for this special girl. She was the smallest at birth but continued to grow and blossom but her size never stopped her from getting in the middle of the puppy play piles. Tiny and mighty she is! 🌪 I can’t wait to watch her grow up with her 3 boys!
